No, don't mess with the control arms. Just get the delrin bushings in there, and then hone the delrin afterwards.

its so simple....

take the nilock nut that holds it in place and thread it back on a couple turns then hit the head of the nut only so you don't damage any threads on the bolt with a dead blow hammer and it will pop right out. That's what I have always done and it's cake every time

No! Don't do anything to the aluminum. Get the delrin in -- and it will probably take a rubber mallet at least. Then open up the delrin to make the cross shaft fit easily.

I couldn't find a 1" reamer at any store in my area and I couldn't get a 1" drill without buying an entire big drill bit package -- and then there's the matter of a drill big enough for the 1" drill bit.

So I used a $19 wheel cylinder tool (three 220 grit stones) attached to my trusty power drill, and worked at it until I got the perfect fit. It probably isn't the fastest way, but it works just fine (I actully ended up buying two wheel cylinder tools).

This is the correct answer.

I didn't even need a hammer on mine, I just wiggled the bolt and the ball joint and it came out - almost forgot, I also took a chisel, pressed it into the gap (I didn't hit it or anything) and pried it open a tiny bit.
