base (ls lt) springs on a ss sc?

what would happen? would they lower the car, or raise it? Im thinking of buying them and seeing what happens, then if it doesnt lower it, just cut them

It'd definitely raise it! Haha you wouldn't like them, save for other springs or coils

I think you need to wait and save a little money, and purchase real springs.

Don't rush into things. It took me 5 years to get my car where I always wanted it.

i sold my stock ss sc springs to a member here with a 2.4 balt and you could notice from the pics the before and after made it look as a ss sc sits which is a bit lower than base models and 2.4 balts

another member back in miami had cut ss sc springs and he looked like he was droped on coilovers, and lowered it more than any spring out there but the ride quality sucked, but he didnt care

Then stay stock until you have the money.

The base cobalt springs have different springs rates than the SS/SC, and you will end up having a car that handles worse than stock.

Dont buy used springs, any spring you get usually only is good for a few years say 4 or 5. You get 2 year old springs and they are already rusting and ride like crap.

CM/SSC springs like like $200. buy those.

Used springs are fine if they haven't been used much.

Don't cheap out, whatever you get, you're always going to want to go lower

i agree with you on that, and im not gonna wanna go to low, cause i live in a hick town with plenty of bumps, but i wanna go with a good set of ebaich sportlines, i personally really like how they look on the cobalt.

Good set of sportlines? No

The ride quality isn't good. Some people disagree but the majority will agree

Its not as good as others definitely. I still like them though. Feel nice and stiff during turns and well ive felt worse springs. And well I love the drop lol

Was thinking of selling mine and getting some cm springs since they seem to be just a little bit higher than sportlines and I need that little bit cuz I scrape my resonator getting into my "garage"

Yea, Sportlines ride like crap. Granted they corner pretty well, but still... and any bumps at highway speeds feel like you are gonna bounce off the road.

But the drop is nice for springs, I believe one of the lowest available.
