all the suspensions are interchangable but i believe the lowering kits labeled SS drop more than the non ss drop kits.
at least i know h&r works this way because my first set was for a base model that they had shipped by accident. then i got the correct kit and the car was dropped more to my liking. hope this helps

it's a 10mm difference. So, 1cm, so less than 1/2 an inch.

Anything meant for an SS would work on your car.

All cobalt suspension components are interchangeable.

I switched to the SS turbo shocks and struts, and i use pedders performance springs. They don;t lower as much, but they have the best ride and handling by far.

Coilovers????

I dont know if I should get coilovers when all I want to do is lower my car. I have read that you cant just get spring cause your car will be floaty and also scrub when I get an exhaust. I purchased 18" wheels and still have the factory ride height and it just looks retarded. So my question is, do I really need to buy coilovers or can I get away with springs?

I installed the tc/pedders combo like 2 weeks ago and I just noticed that we're supposed to have bumpstops on the front The old struts didnt have them on.
Would riding without bumpstops in nthe front affect anything?
thanks

You need bumpstops. there's an internal one, but it isn't a good idea to run without it. Your old struts should have had one. Call up Tom at CED and get them.

DONT CUT ANYTHING!

Good luck. I had the same issue when i ordered FE5 struts after selling my coilovers. I didn't have bumpstops or top hats. It was horrible. Car sat on jackstands waiting on nothing but springs for 4 months.

Thanks
I know, it's very frustrating.
I wish I had bought bumpstops and top hats along with the tc/pedders combo
It would have made the install so much easier.

hi guys just installed a h&r springs i guess sport ones bought used from a member here.. there is kinda tock tock noise when i turn my wheels either to the right or left.. and after some reading here and there..
some say they have cut the bumpstops or whatsoever.. i guess bumpstops is what make the car like more stiffy harder on bumps..

so i dont think the problem is coming from bumpstop oh well..

any help from you guys regarding the tock tock noise would be appreciated.. thanks

get a set of rack spacers from ottp and your problem shall be no more. i have h&rs with factory bump stops, there is no point in cutting them, they are there for a reason

I have an ingalls camber kit, because i was at -1.7 camber up front. The bolts seemed snug and didnt want to easily slide in. This normal? Or am i doing something wrong?

Im on fe5's, sportlines, prothane bushings
