coil spring issue

My car's springs where cut before I got the car. And now they(front drivers) are making a noise over bumps, and when you turn the wheel. I can move the coil spring if I jack it up by hand. The plastic insulators on the bottom are done on both sides. Is this the issue of the noise?

Let's see.... Springs can move...noise isolators shot.... metal on metal....

Do I need to keep going?

Check the usual suspects too, end links, lower ball joint, control arm bushings, but start there.

Haha, sorry for the stupid question. Just making sure before I tear it apart. And I checked all the front end, and had a mechanic do it to on the lift just in case, and it all checked out.

It's not a stupid question if it's an honest one. Your mechanic should see wear patterns in the spring mounts which will clearly indicate a noise source.
