PS-
Term, love the sig quote!
Its easy to shoot at Cobalt but if you look at this piktar of a cobalt sway bar with two bolt mount you can see the built in anti walk sleeve on the bar and the retainers on the sway bar bushing mount. HARD to walk out if not IMPOSSIBLE. Unless the bracket is loose or broken

i can promise that my little black car lacks that piece.

my 05 chassis, along with 3 other local guys with (2 06's' and 1 07' ) have all had to push the bar of one of the LCA's with a good ole pry-bar due to a heavy, LCA deforming interference.

it'll shift back into one of the LCA's soon enough, but it helps with piece of mind for a moment.

NOTE WELL! The FE3 04 redlines and FE5 05 and many 06 Cobalts had a tab and single bolt fixing for the sway bar bushing. For all I know, I dont deal with FE1 and 3 cars much they still have this single bolt bracket even in 07.This is well known to yield and cause issues. All my comments and the picture shows an upgraded 05 tab and bolt sway bar mount converted to a two bolt fixing. All youneed is a drill, a bolt washer and lock nut and the 07 two bolt sway bar bracket. Make the mod, be happy

BUT! If the lower control arm bushing is shot and allows the arm to move, the arm can run into the sway bar. Difficult to say over the internet many of the issues we talk about here are incorrectly diagnosed due to not enough information....

For what it's worth. Early 06. I have the retainers, making me nearly positive she has them.
