Feeler- Solid Front and Rear Strut Mounts.

Just wanting to know if you guys are interested in some Solid front and rear strut mounts. I am making them for the 96+ J's right now and was wondering if the cobalt guys would be wanting some of these as well. I will attach some photos or the ones that I am building currently.

Its a solid design, compaired to the stock rubber. Less movment in the suspension.

Here is a vid of the amount of movment in the stock compaired to mine.

Sounds good. If I can get an interest of 10 people I will start the design. This is just one of many things we develop here.

@dohc v6: not to bust your *****, because it sounds like a good idea (can't see pictures or video, blocked at work) but be careful about posting products you're willing to sell if you're not a supporting vendor. the mods don't like it.

^^ if you notice the one that is solid doens't move at all look at the one on the left and u'll notice it moves and vibs... not sure what this will actually improve i'll let the OP tell us its exact function.

My guess is that it would keep your wheels at a more static camber(think thats the word) instead of letting it lean with the body.

gotcha, so it looks like it is going to be similar solid mounts. you reduce the amount of play which means quicker responses but more vibrations. It should firm up the reaction in turns since the shock won't have that slight delay of it shifting on the looser mount.

I hope the bolts are stronger because those are already a weak spot add more vibrations and harder forces to them will definitely increase the wear and tear.

Yeah thats why I called it a feeler, I need to contact the MODS to get on the list for vendors. What this does is keep the car planted more to the ground. The facotry mounts have a sleeve with rubber surrounding it. It works but when it comes to making a hard turn the rubber will give and that shows in the amount of how hard you can turn into a corner. As far as making the car ride worse, thats false. If anything I noticed a nicer ride, and a much smoother more level car. It does not like to drift around turns anymore, its much more planted when going into a hard turn.

Lets start a list. If you are interested. Put your name down. This is by no means a contract of any sort just a feeler.

Ill just throw two things out there:

A:Holy long website address Batman!!!

B: I think these are a wicked awful idea. Theres no provision to allow the strut shaft to move......There needs to be a bearing in the top.

Those are back plates, the fronts do have a bearing, and they also have the correct amount of clearance for the shaft to have 1-2* of camber play.
