Moog End links

Little back story, installed lower springs about 4 months ago. one of my stock end link bolts was not on all the way and fell off. well i drove for awhile like this and couldn't understand why it was pulling hard to one side. Went to do an oil change and I found out the bolt was missing. Replaced both of them with Moog End links.

Fast forward to today, my car seems to clunk really bad turning either left or right and I feel like my steering wheel column is clunking too. I checked the end links this weekend and they are attached and bolted good. Do I need to grease them? dont they come pre-greased?

Also, how difficult is it to tighten up my steering column

this wont be of any help but about 3 weeks ago I did a full ss/tc fe5 swap with moog end links and pedders and i didnt have any kinda clunking so I have no idea other then check every bolt to ensure its tight. also i think they are pre-greased but I had my friend fill them all the way up at his shop took less then 5 mins so maybe have someone fill them up.

I had a clunking when my endlinks went bad....

I replaced them with Moogs, and have been good sense.

Although, I had some clunking like you are describing on my initial test drive, and found it to be a loose bolt. Re-torqued everything, and I was good to go.

i make sure mine get fresh grease when i swap my summer/winter wheels out, so twice a year. been on for probably 2 years and have no clunking, even now with coilovers. i just keep everything greased up and it's all fine

make sure they're fully greased and re-torque all the bolts you loosened in the install.

Noob question.. How/why do you grease these? I had these put on last year when I was getting other work done at a shop, because it was winter.

Step 0. Clean the zerk fittings with brake cleaner FIRST. It is a sure fire way to destroy a ball joint by injecting grease when the zerk fitting is dirty.

Quite honestly, I prefer sealed ball joints over ones with zerk fittings.

How often do you have to inject grease?
