I did the install myself. It's honestly not hard, all you need as far as "special" tools for the job is a spring compressor from Autozone.

Get some dirt on those hands.

Nah you dont need to really compress them much, maybe a few centimeters to get the tops off. The back springs are really easy, they only took me like 15 minutes. There's a nice how-to on a spring install.

Plus autzone rents out the spring compressors.

if you do it yourself. loosen the top strut nuts some while still in the car, makes it 10,000% easier

^ VERY true. The bolts are almost impossible to break one you get the front struts off the car. They get really torqued because of all the stress that the strut is constantly under. Once you get both top bolts loose its smooth sailing.

Sorry dude im not sure... Someone on here should be able to help you out though. Mine weren't like ridiculously tight, but i had to put a little muscle behind it to get the bolts to break.

Make sure you browse that how-to, its really helpful. The only other advice I can give you is to cut the bumpstops when you take the front struts out. It will make the ride a lot nicer.

don't worry about it, as long as the spring compressor is on you will be fine.

for the rears, it's a piece of cake. jack the car up, get the wheels off, and there's literally one bolt to take off on each side. once you take that bolt off, the whole rear axle will drop down, and the springs just slide right out. put the new ones in, lift the axle, and put the bolts back!

the fronts aren't bad either, same thing, jack the car. take the wheels off. undo the bolts in the engine bay, and the whole thing will pop out. get that top bolt off, spring compressor, and take it apart. put the new one on, compressor, put back in and bolt back together. it's really an easy job, as long as you have a very basic understanding of what you're doing.

first time i did springs took me about an hour, using very basic handtools and a jack and jackstands.

If your are mechanically inclined and have access to air tools, easy install. 2 hours by myself. Then sit back a crack the beer open and enjoy what you just did.
