Just took my second ride this morning. The ride is a little stiffer than the Pedders for sure, but there are some circumstances where it rides considerably nicer. Since the car sits a little higher than the Pedders, you stop crashing into the bump stops all the time, and no more exhaust banging on the TRB.

Zipped around an on ramp. I can say that it had noticeably less understeer

I want to see some installed pics and hear more reviews. I'm entirely happy with my car as it is now.

Awesome thanks a lot man! I can't wait to get them. I'm assuming there was also a little less body roll than the pedders?

That isn't really something that I pay attention to, nor should you. The spring rates say that it should be marginally flatter, but you're starting at a different point in the suspension. There's no easy way to answer this.

Yeah the specs John posted would lead me to believe that the fronts at least act like pedders initially then stiffen up quite a bit

Don't I wish. There's an event at the end of this month, but I'm not sure I'll make it.

they are in NY tomorrow. Wanna go to Niagara Falls? lol Brandon Levine is there in Buffalo, also I think. But you can have them in your hands say Thursday np, and btw you dont need a spring compressor with a Cobalt for install, given some basic tools and a jack.

Haha wait really? I'm friends with Brandon he's from Albany were I live. Would they ship that quick? Because if not I will certainly make that drive for them

And why won't you need a compressor? Are they short enough to fit in the strut without compressing at all? That's awesome!

when i put my SSC's on last week, i could put everything together and just tighten the Mount nut with an impact gun, sucked it right together.

undo top center strut nut 21 mm socket but do not remove entirely, do this with the car on its wheels. If its rusty hit it with penetrating fluid the nite before.

chock the rear wheels. jack car up. jack stands. remove wheel.

undo sway bar drop link ( penetrating oil the nite before, if oem and old be prepared to spend the afternoon struggling with it)
undo strut lower bolts ( 18 mm socket)
big hammer drive lower bolts out.
release top nut remove strut assembly leaving top mount behind of course ( u did not undo the 3 x 13 mm socket nuts, right?)
change springs, carefully place cleaned up top isolator, hat, (line up hat tab with coil end or make sure it faces 11 o clock take your pick) bearing in place on strut offer up and catch with the big nut for a turn or two on the threads.

use jack to lift arm up to postion knuckle to put in strut cross bolts. etc.

torque.

done

Wangspeed, do you happen to feel every bump in the road with these springs? The roads here aren't the smoothest, and I don't want to amplify poor riding x10

So on the way to the dyno today I came across a 4 line railroad crossing really rough, and as I went towards it at about 30 mph I sort of cringed, in anticipation of the crash/bang crap.

Newp. I got YYZ. ( I also have sphericals on every suspension pivot, F & R)

It was a glide.

Seriously.

That good.

Yep, it's because we actually have suspension travel again, instead of crashing into the bumpstops. Springs = reasonable spring rate. Bumpstop = back will hurt.

Can't wait to crash over the curbs at VIR
