2.2L Tuning Rant...
actually, there is something wrong with piggybacks:
1) you are essentially lying to the ECU to get your results vs just adjusting the values. the big issue I have seen with piggybacks is that the factory ECU is too damn smart. after a while you have the ECU fighting with the piggyback for getting the results that its looking for.
2) one other problem (that AEM seems to address) is that when you add extra fuel your ECU is going to add additional timing as well (which is why the timing retard feature is there)...which is a big problem for boosted cars.
3) one other thing I have seen is that alot of piggybacks have poor (or none) partial throttle tuning capabilities
4) piggybacks are also playing with your knock sensor to advance/retard timing which may not be desirable if you actually are getting knock
so, its far from the best option but you work with what you got...if I was going with a built motor and running boost vs nitrous I would go standalone
N/A with nitrous I feel I can get away with piggyback tuning so adjustments will be alot less drastic.

Well you have a piggyback...sorry...bikes are the same way
They all have piggybacks...and no one bitches about it...and they don't fail...plenty of cars use piggybacks to make big big power.
So basically what I am saying is man up.

BTW, pics of the bike or ban...
heres another little nugget to digest.
if HP tuners releases support for the 2.2, how many 2.2 owners are going to spend $700,
when suddenly everyone in their area with HPtuners now has the ability to tune your car.....for probably $150-200.......
oh yes. im sure TONS would buy the program themselves.....

The tach is my avatar and maybe if you buy a piggyback like I did for the bike and tune you cobalt...
An0m comes through with the win again...
i didnt read the whole thread nor do i care too...but the way i see it..u bought a base model cobalt...which means u didnt have the money to get a ss or ss/sc which means spending money on modding is going to be a fail for the most part..and i dont even own a biz...this isnt hondas where u buy the cheapest model for lightness and buy a engine for swap...

rest what case? lol..that u bought a base model and are trying to mod it? what u wanna be a beastly n/a car lol..stop crying and buy a turbo kit or STFU about tuning...were lucking enough to have tuning for our cars with how low the cobalt market is...but u wanna cry about a base model not having it too...

rest what e muscle? u have yet to come back with anything that supports the reason u should get a tuning program other than a list of people that say they will buy it...im not being a dick bro but u need to look at it in a biz standpoint..there working hard enough on the lnf and other gm/dodge/ford cars out that a base model cobalt isnt a high priority to them..plan and simple..

But there are people who can afford a turbo but cant get a reflash so i'm sure they're pissed to
