2.2L Tuning Rant...

I wont suport hptuners after them bold face saying they wouldnt tune us but then saying later on they basically have the 07 tuning done but will get to it when they have more time from there other cars.. if its basically done a week worth of work at best should of finished it..
If a company can crack the 2.4 tune in a week like some of these companies the 2.2 cant be much harder.. Its all a matter of encryption and writing a new code, just depends on which code they are messing with..

the owner does not own a cobalt, Dan owns a soltice...and who is the other?? I had mentioned in a thread that I will be working with their tuning guy, Vince from trifecta tuning on trying to get the 2.2l tune cracked...but i did not hear about this...I know they have a 2.4 handheld tune and mentioned someone out of town working on this with them...but as to date i have not heard anything about a 2.2 tuner...link to thread on this so i can see...i am somewhat skeptical on what is being discussed...

i have got a few pms back now.. from what the gt tuner is.. you tune in the obd 2 port.. its a 10 minute fast tune, then unplug send the gt tuner back.. its like the hahn tuner.. except we send this one back..
he also said he is making a 2.2 thread about it

Don't be skeptical, you're one of the locals and I have another owner in Burien who volunteered. Give me a ring and we'll get the ball rolling. I'll put you in direct contact with Vince and you guys can come on down here to the shop. He can use your car for tuning and I can look at doing a 2.2 header.

that is great to hear, I cant wait to see how this all goes down. I will want to know more details about pricing if this all actually happens, hell i live in dayton, ohio and i would drive to PA so they could tune my car if the product actually hits the market.
they are out of WA here...PA is where a cobalt owner will test the unit whne ready....

even though im sure it aint gonna happen hp tuners told me they was workin on the tune for the 2.2's and told me to check back in march.. this was just over a month ago they told me this.. maybe its bullshit maybe its not.. i really dont know but imma check back with em sometime in march to find out.. believe i really want the tuning too and the reason i didn't get any type of ss is cuz they didnt have one on the lot and said it would be months before they did.. i paid justa bout as much for my lt as an ss cost too.. my lt has almost everythin they can come with..
that was the same with me!! i wrecked my last cobalt and so i needed a car fast. at this time i couldn't even get a sport there were none to be found so we pushed a loaded LT out of the show room with 19km on it and i took that one. when i signed the papers it was just as much as the ss so dont think that just because we dont have the ss does not make us poor!!!
