2.2 vs. Dodge Magnum

So i was on my way home from the gf's house around 7 in the morning. I was on the L.I.E. and this really nice looking Dodge Magnum pulls up next to me, it was black with full tint and had red 20s on it. At first I though it was a R/T but then i noticed it had one exhaust tip. It had a modded exhaust too. After a min i down-shifted and started taping on the gas. After a few time i heard him slam on it. I did a 3rd gear pull at 70. After i hit 90 i was in front of him and at 110 I had a half a car on him. I shut it down after that. Right before I got off on my exit his passenger lowered the window to listen to what i had. i yelled its just an inake , no supercharger here; then i took off.

if it kept up, probably a 3.5L, although they do come in 2.7L too.

Nice kill!! Although I've heard of the 3.5's running in the mid 15's, so this might have been a 2.7.

yeah, the majority of people who put big rims on the LX cars are base models.

You'd be quite surprised at what there are around here. I've seen SRT-8's and many R/T's with 20+ inch rims.

Again, you would be surprised at what people around here do to their cars.

Well I live in a decently sized City where everyone thinks they're gangster and cool because they have big rims. Really sad to see sometimes actually, because it's where I live and hope to raise my family.

I guess I can understand making a 3.5 v6 in the Magnums, Chargers and 300s, but I just dont see why a 2.7 was put in them.

Even if they are, why a 2.7? That's 4 different engine options for one car, I just dont get it, especially in a Magnum, 300 or Charger. Either way I dont care because I will never own one of those cars.

because instead of offering a larger line of vehicles like GM, chrysler offers different trim levels, so instead of offering 7 different sheet metal options, its the same car with different trim, i think they offer 7 different trim levels for the 300

i wouldnt even count the SRT because that isnt as prevolent as the other 3 engines.
