LOLZ. This is hilarious. USMC, you don't just always trap higher because of less traction. That's not some new law of physics. It CAN happen due to changes in throttle position at given points on the track and shifts in power delivery relative to position on the track, but if you're trapping deep 120s on slicks, you're not going to be trapping 130 on street tires because you're going to be backing out of it half way down the track and trapping way lower. I'm just still waiting for a slip. I have nothing against area, it's just pitiful how there's a tire swing hanging from his nuts and everyone from css.net is on it playing paddy-cake and singing london bridge is falling down. For some reason, this independent tuner has become more credible than even shop owners on this forum

This I know. Very dependent on a lot of things... BUT, You CAN have much higher traps because of wheel spin. Simple enough. When I was S/C with a weksos 3.0 pulley, I ran a 14.2 @ 104, spinning like crazy off the line and in 2nd... and then I ran again and ran a 13.9 @ 101, still spinning, but nearly as bad. Not a HUGE difference, but I also didn't have a lot of power. But it shows what I'm talking about.

Do you really think my Z28 on street tires on spray running on 19x10s hooks anywhere under 70mph? Nope. Now do you think the spinning all the way through 3rd gives me 140mph traps in the 1/4 mile? Nope. Do you no think that when i throw slicks on and can actually go WOT i dont see 10+mph higher traps? Street tires on my car at WOT is just a lot of feathering the throttle and still not going anywhere.
Seriously, how many racing videos have you seen from a roll where you see the guy in the other lane spinning and walking out on the equally powered car that got traction? If spinning increased mph, two equal cars from a roll the one spinning would be in front... but it isnt and it wont.
I swear you all hear something, dont know anything about the facts and claim it to be truth.
Now where spinning CAN increase mph, is say going from a slick to a drag radial, say you cna get a decent launch on both, the Drag radial might have a tad bit more spin, but way less rolling resistance or possibly didnt bog the car as much.
Cakeeater isnt saying Areas car is slow, he just wants to see how fast it really is. I have no doubt he can eclipse 120 traps. But i want to see the "well into the 120s" trap speeds. And i hope he does it, i really do. As some tool just totaled my daily and ill be adding a LSJ to the stable with the TC and Z28

I like this. i know its only an opinion, but if you cant do it on the street then dont brag to me about your track times and 60 foot with slicks. Bc if you ran me on the street you wouldnt get that time. granted it is cool to see how good of a time you can run, just dont brag that you could do it on the street too with completely different conditions.
