Point is... I'm not just some noob troll who showed up a few days ago to make fun of Cobalts or something.

I was and am legitimately interested in Cobalts and cars in general, and when a topic I'm familiar with comes up, I post up what I know. Of course, that tends to be about Mustangs, but when you've got some people on here that clearly know NOTHING about Mustangs, it's nice to have someone who does.

That being said, when I go to the Dream Cruise in Detroit and take hundreds of pictures, I have purposely taken pictures of the Cobalts as well as GM's Cobalt concepts to share with the forum.

Certainly, there are people who come here to troll and contribute nothing. Myself, being a car enthusiast in general, Mustang enthusiast second, I don't fall into that category.

to the dipshit that said 300hp cant be done on a NA 302 with some swaps.. your a dipshit... a simple TFS top-end kit will net you well over 300rwhp.

BAHAHA yea i bet the porkers love your bright red interior trim and neons! don't talk **** about cars being slow, when you drive a basically stock car and you know it isn't fast. that is just asking for issues. Non of the mustang owners in here have stated anything but fact to support their claims...but cobalt owners are coming up with 340hp 5.0's in the shelby gt (LOL!) and that mustangs are slow, but they drive a 14 sec car (that's you buddy)

OH, just to add some irony to everything since I seem to be one of the "mustang guys," I raced my buddies 01 GT mustang with 3.90 gears and full exhaust today, beat him twice. In the cobalt. LOLOLOLOL lets hear it............

btw the idiot(s?) who said a turboed 5.0 mustang would be lucky to break 13s, man, you must have NEVER seen a real turbo 5.0 in REAL life cuz those cars lay the smack down. I had a twin turbo 92 GT with a stock 5.0 with very mild upgrades and an upgraded fuel system, meth injection and 12 pounds of boost and I could pull my buddies ZX7R sport bike. Was an easy 120 mph 1/4 mile car. Racing a cobalt ss/sc with it would have been a complete joke.

great minds think alike! im trying to do the same thing, i used to own a 85 gt but i had to sell it cause it was my primary car and gas milage sucked, now that i got a real job makeing good money i wanna try and find one again and mod it on the side. they are unreal cars.... with headers and full exhaust they sound mean and with a couple other little things they crush alot of cars.

I agree COMPLETELY. The power lies in the engine, not the boost. Lowering temps, changing out springs, balance shafts, pistons, etc.


The boost route seems to be the cheapest thoough, other than N20 of course.

this is getting retarded haha...put it this way. A bolt on 5 liter will destroy a ss/sc any day of the week. Cobras will do that a little easier and obviously 03-04s you shouldnt even bother with. 05+ sucks but can even if 5 speeds run 13s stock...but a bolt on 05 and up should still eat you alive...


And to the dipshit who thinks a turbod stock motored fox cant do 11's....would you like me to take pictures of the articles? I have plenty of MM&FF magazines near my *******.

Theyre not the fastest cars, but can be with a good driver. I believbe u beat him, especially if rod conditions werent good, or he just cant launch for crap.

I'm really not quite sure yet. I'm taking my time and making sure i do this build right since i have another car and i am in school so i am not really pressed for time. As of now i'm planning on just running the v2 for a while after the motor is done and deciding from there what would satisfy. I still haven't finished deciding on what i want to do with the top end of the motor though, and i want to pick the perfect cams so i will probably decide soon. I will most likely go with a KB setup because i have a feeling with aggressive cams and a centri this thing is gonna be all top end and i don't necessarily want that. i'll have to take some pics for you when i get home for summer...2 weeks.
