Cobalt SS/SC vs 2 Civic Si's
Let me start off by saying I only have GM Stage II and a ZZP Catback.
The first race happened a couple weeks ago. There's a guy running around in a pretty clean Si sedan (08ish body style) lowered on RPF1's. I could tell he had an exhaust, but didn't know what else. One day we got beside each other on the highway when I got off work. He took off so I did too and we were dead even till I let off. I ended up talking to the guy and he said he only had bolt ons (with a grin I might add). But he told me that my car pulls hard as hell and I've been the only Cobalt around to keep up with him. The next day I heard him take off from a light across from me and I swear I heard a whine coming from his car. So I assume he has only "bolt ons," including a bolt on supercharger lol.
Second race happened earlier this evening. Another guy in a Si sedan (same year range) pulled up beside me on the interstate. He started to downshift so I said why the hell not and did the same. He honked off at about 55 mph and as soon as I took off I put half a car on him. After that I kept pulling to about 6 or so cars till I let off. I couldn't shift into 4th cause I think my tob is going out. The pedal gets somewhat harder to press and it won't go into the next gear. Doesn't happen all the time and it only does it under hard pulls, never doing day to day driving.

When I was going to work in the morning I saw a Honda Prelude behind me and then we stopped at a red light. After I shifted to third gear the honda stepped on it so I did too. He stayed way behind and I just laughed because it was a ricer with a loud ass muffler. A lot people just underestimate Cobalts. keep in mind he caught me off guard and my car has a boost leak but it was a piece of cake with my 09 Cobalt SS .

i had a brand new si try to take me on the highway the other day. had big wing, rims exhaust etc etc... guy thought he was hot ****. Until my balt with TVS and E85 (~350whp) ripped him apart so badly he looked like he wanted to cry lol. I love when si's try to play, theyre one of my favs to pull buses on

Well I was driving with my brother a week after buying my car 3 hours away to pick up a 240sx for him. As soon as we got into town a prelude Vtac tried to race him but he had only the stock KA24 so he wanted no part I lined up behind him at the light because there was a car beside him he took off and the look on his girlfriends face as I drove past was priceless.
But for the best honda kill I passed a honda civic on the highway that was turboed he followed me when I turned off and on the next road he pulled up beside me looked over said "goodbye" geared down and hammered on the throttle when I pulled on him all he had left was that super sudden right hand GTF outta here turn

Good kill! Lol i think when ppl see a Balt they think it's like a Honda. And I've seen a couple base model Balts that are riced out which doesn't help the situation. And I'm having the same problem with my tob my peddle sticks to the floor when getting into high Rpms and trying to shift. Stock clutch?

Nope. You would think that Si owners wouldn't underestimate a SS. I've had several revving up at me around town, even non Si's. And I know what a couple of the cars have done and it wouldn't be a race. Except for a few, including one that is supposed to have a fully built engine turbocharged with 600+ hp.

Yeah, stock clutch. It seems to hold fine. Driving normal around town I never have a problem.

Pure ignorance is also a big factor.
