http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjQiQa_7DUk Not 10's but 11's. Honestly vie driven both cars, the cobalt SS has nothing near a transmission like the csrt as far as smoothness goes. Its 6 speads. It only hits 10psi stock which is lame but stage 1 from what i know brings you to 15 psi where the cobalt sits at stock, granted there different turbos. Idk i love the way the CSRT looks, and its darn quick with my sunroof, 4 doors, 13 speaker kicker system with sub, 6 disc cd changer. I got all that plus more for 19000 out the door, no GM dealer could touch that price.

So to me it was the clear choice and now im happier then ever in my Rocket Van,

Is that the fastest one to date? If it is, that is long way off from running 10's!

the CSRT in that video is running 430 whp. That CSRT has the current best 1/4 mile time. However, another vendor is running a 570 whp CSRT. I dont know if they have really brought it to the track or not.

Honestly though, the biggest problems with the CSRT is the PCM. It pulls throttle, and slows shifts between gears among other things. Its a complete ****. The vendors running the CSRT in that vid are currently working on 10's. They say it is possible, and have numerous NSRT4's in the 10's and 9's, so Im not one to argue with them. Based on the trap mph, I would have to say it is definitely capable of 10's with the right run.

I know of 600+WHP supras that cant break the 11's......

Its going to take a bit more than 3K to get the CSRT4 into the 10's

It will take alot of suspension work, chassis work, and some nice slick tires with sticky track conditions with a great driver.

I know it can go into the 10's, but not for 3K dollars.

As usual I am not paying attention but are we talking about stock csrt + 3000 mods (taxes in) = 10's?

I'm gonna need some solid proof before I bite into that one...

When I ran off those numbers I was referring to the go-fast mods. So ya, you would need a few other goodies to hit 10's. Tires, engine/tranny mounts ( about $250 for the set ), TCS ( around $575 ).

So technically, around 4kish, and all on the stock compressor housing. 500 whp is definitely attainable on a little over 3k considering most guys are seeing an upwards of 80 whp using devils own meth injection. That CSRT in the vid is not meth injected.

Like I said though, its the PCM problems that are causing issues. The car has the ability, however the PCM needs to be figured out. And like I said, theyre still working on 10's, they think its attainable, and have multiple single digit NSRT4's they built. I trust their word .

Either way, it will take a little more time before it happens. It isnt a matter of if, its a matter of when.

Is the B&G reflash any good for the caliber? I know nothing about it but one guy I met had a flash by em and he was fast as ***. I am sure your community has the same resources from what I hear.

Im really not sure. As far as I know there is no flash available for the CSRT because they cannot unlock the PCM. All of the tuning we have done was with a fuel ignition controller. Its a half assed way to tune a car as u cant really change fueling maps, or any major parameters on the PCM. I will say though, that even with the FIC as our only tuning alternate, we have come very far.

If we could unlock the PCM, the true potential of the CSRT would put the FIC to shame.

Anyway, let me ask about it on our forums. Maybe I can find out. It was a candian guy right? I think I have an idea and remember seeing something about it. Lemme check it out.

*edit*

I have B&G's number. I will call them directly :

oh well. THe one guy that could probably help us rather not bother. I guess I can;t blame him. He's got a good thing going with the LNF and probably wants to stick with that and have it be as good as he can get it. + dosn't wanna have to deal with learning all the doge codes and stuff when he knows the GM stuff by heart. Oh well
