believe me you wouldnt be saying that if you owned one lol, i love them too, but i dont like the idea of the gargantuan repair costs and the horrible reliability, they are all imported in bad condition.

I hate to break it to you, but built evo's run 8's in the 1/4 mile. Stock turbo evo's can run low 11's. The evo is the best tuner platform money can buy, period. Sorry to pop ur lnf bubble.

fastest cobalt ever ran a 8.96 and it was a non-street legal 2.2 race motor.

I didn't say it had the s/c on it or didn't have any internal work done to it......but neither do the god given evos that run 8's that he's trying to talk smack with either.

If you go mod for mod between a X and a IX, the X will lose almost every time. You will make better power than the IX up to a point, but the porkiness of the X will hold it back in a straight line. However, when the road gets curvy, i can tell you that my X would carve up my IX MR any day of the week.

egh, are u sure about that? The primary complaint of the X owners is the fact that mitsu is moving away from the rally base into a more comfortable cruiser that doesnt handle quite as good.

After owning both, yes i can say that all with certainty. The X will carve up any predecessor and that only amplifies with handling mods.
The X is some 300 pounds heavier and it shows in the straights.

Again, most of what you post is purely personal bias and objective. For every story of an STI > Evo story, I can come up with an Evo > STI story. Same thing with the 8 second lsj's. Same thing for the "potential of failure" in the awd components. Until you own these cars, and race these cars, and experience these issues or downfalls, what you say means next to nothing. Speculation and some internet stories and videos do not equate to knowledge kiddo.
