Power to weight ratio this Stage 21 that. Simply put it takes one hell of a SS/SC to even catch a stock GTO. Unless your making a consistant and reliable 280whp or more all you will do is waste gas.

 

so when did they put the ls7 like sig says in the gto? also if the gto is a 12 sec car how come with all that you have done you only hit a 12.4?

 

ls7 shorty's, stock mani's off a c6 zo6 are on my car. and what mods? shorty's and catback? I guess exhuast and dr's are a lot of mods

 

At 6'2" 225 I didnt spend 2 of my last 5 years in Iraq fighting and teaching hand to hand combat and in the last year and a half as an undefeated 8-0 amatuer cage fighter to not be able to back up what I say. For your information he was dog walking you hard. Run from a stop and he would have beaten you by 15 - 20 cars. And you don't have a driver mod. People with a real driver mod don't say they have a driver mod. Like the SC300 I raced this weekend the guy racing me the first 3 times kept saying I will beat you on driving skill alone. And I walked him 1 - 2 cars every race. Then my buddy drove the Sc300 and beat me by 1/2 a car. Just food for thought.

 

thats why , you have one of the fastest cobalts on this site , anyone running a 2.6, meth and a "paul" tune is gonna be fast , i was using his 2.6 tune for a while and then i had to go in for warranty work so i went back to a 3.0 and the tune he has for that is some good **** too

Yeah he's the man when it comes to cobalts. Im gonna port the blower, switch to a 2.55 pulley and get a header and catback. Should be able to break 290 with all that. Either way the car will stay that way until next summer.

 

yeah he knows his **** , sounds like a good move , make sure you get a midlength header / lt shorty's arent good for that much power , and im sure your gonna go turbo next summer ?? or are you gonna sell the car ?? im just impatient thats why i got rid of mine sick of waiting for all the projects to finish

 

Im gonna go turbo. Not selling it. I also got impatient with it so I went out and bought an 03 Z06 for a fix.

 

Ohhhhhh Intake LS2 goes down by a car from a 40 punch, this is with my car running crapping with the SES light on from random misfires from the spark plugs......Yes there is a witness and he will chime in tonight or tommorow. This same LS2 pulled a blown LS1 auto GTO with exhaust by 2 cars. Haha all the guys were saying i was going to lose and did i???? Slow ass GTO's


Mods are 60#'s/Intense 2.8"/GMPP exhaust/Stage 2 belt/Intense PCM tweaked with HPT /Intake/ETD/Bwoody T-Mount, I have one hell of a tune.

Gto guys should go fight with cobra owners on the svt forums, and the cobalt guys should stop thinking they can beat gto's without spending a arm and a leg....

Blame sick06cobalt for no Video, the GTO wouldnt run me again so David (Sick06Cobalt)couldnt film it, awww i guess he was pissed i beat his 400hp car in a Saturn with less then $1200 in mods. Man i would love to shut you up 2.4ss/sc or whatever your name is, Just realize you have a heavy ass slow V8, you should have bought a catfish ls1 or an F-body.

 

Let's not turn this into yet another bashing thread, shall we. GTO's are finicky cars to drive, and if the person behind the wheel doesn't know this, then he will screw some **** up. The 04's stock are high 13 second cars bone stock with someone that knows how to drive it. The 05 and 06's are low 13's all day long with no mods. Yes, they are heavier then the Camaros, but still have massive potential, sound WAY better then any Cobalt ever will cause of RAW TORQUE, and don't look all too bad either. Not to mention that they are very comfortable to drive.

 

I took off half a second off my time, is that not good enough for a exhaust only? I didn't know 12.4 was slow to you balts but it was for me thats why i have the shot in.

 

Now now..Do not start classing all of us in the same catagory. Seeing also that your post count is pretty low, I am going to take a wild guess and say that you came on here to stand up for GTO's. There's no need for that. There are quite a few different vehicle owners on here from GTO's to EVO's to SRT's...Do not come on here and just argue about vehicle specs and what not because you WILL get banned. Don't waste your time arguing over some dumb ****, just learn some stuff bout the Balts, or go on your way.

There is some good info here and some cool ass peeps. You just need to keep in mind, that just like any other brand of vehicle and website, there are going to be boneheads. I know there are some peckerhead Cobalt owners, just as there ARE some peckerhead GTO owners, you can't deny it. Now that I have said my peace...Wait till I go turbo..Jok..lol..

By the way...We all GM owners for cryin out loud, lets go smoke some Mustangs, or Dodges or some ****..Sorry SRT guys. lol
