I'll admit I did too once, but it's really pointless. All that matters is how your car preforms if you're racing, or how it looks if you're in a car show.

If you do neither, then all that matters is that you're happy with your car.

Many are hitting 13's with basic bolt ons and tune. The competent drivers that is.

But just barely breaking 13's is much different than mid to low 13's.

Over the last year i have seen multiple SI at the track all with basic bolt ons . I have never seen any SI with those mods at the track get into the 13's at all. They seem to stay extremely low 14's.

Tunes make a nice difference on those and again it depends on your area the drivers track prep etc...

theres plenty of videos of K20 RSX-S and SI's with bolts on and Kpro giving tuned SS/tcs good runs.

I am sure there is. I just have never seen any si personally at the track run 13 at all.
Most of the kids that drive need driver mods so i can understand their times.

1st video is a poor track with a downhill, 2nd video the si has flashpro which can enable 2step. therefore its tuned. a fully stock si will run 14.4-3 AT BEST full interior etc...

You should win regardless, but from a dig if he out launches you there might not be enough time to catchup...depending how far/fast you are racing up to.

From a roll it shouldn't really be too close.

edit: Go from a dig if you really want to see who's faster.

true but my original post was with them having flashpro. In the end the are quick and respond well to bolt ons/tune, just a little more expensive to mod.

I have raced many new Si"s and civics swapped and killed them all, I'm stock aside from KN Intake, I'm talking track and street I pulled 14.7 at 96 tonight and fastest new Si ran 15.4 and it had exhaust, launch control and I'm sure other bolt ons..I don't understand why everybody I come across puts Civics on a pedestal

Something about the 130 tq to the wheels with flash, makes people think they are fast.

I however will be enjoying my 350tq with $300 TUNE.

Bring on the civic SI's with $300 put into them.
