Got my 2013 5.0 base for 27K brand new with 6 miles on the clock. Same as they wanted for a focus ST the choice was easy for me.

Picke up my brembo 2012 for 26k with 2300 miles, all mods+stock parts, you can pick one up from a private seller from 20-25k with low miles.. Talking 2011 and 2012s tho

Not entirely sure, but I know a lot of Hondas go there lol, it was a special 30$ dyno day.. Heard bad things about that dyno... Of course after I already got my numbers. I'm guessing the 10% low reading is true because 434/399 seems a lot more realistic than 395/366.

Btw I'm jealous of the 13.. Tried for a deep impact blue 13 base but it was just a tad out of my price range an they didn't wanna give me **** for my Balt.

Brandon Ford had 6 2013 5.0s all the same price for me to choose from, white, black, blue, both reds, and green for I was stuck between the "Deep Impact Blue" and the "Gotta Have it Green". I decided on the Green because there are a ton of blue mustangs around here so I wanted to pick the color that stood out. Putting Flat Black Stripes on it here soon.

Yeah if you were to run a stock 5.0 on that dyno it would probably lay down 335-340 whp and 325-330 wrtq. ARH LTs alone are worth around 30 whp with no tune. Intake, LTs, Catback and a good tune they lay down about 440-445 whp and 415 wtrq normally.

Yeah, I'm guessing I'm in that ballpark.. pulled my buddies 5.0 that put down 415 by around 2 cars

I've honestly been thinking about getting rid of my cobalt for a grabber blue 5.0 next summer depending on if I get my new job. My buddy has a white 2011 5.0 with 3.73s, catless exhaust, boss 302 intake mani, a simple thne, and a track set up wheels and tires and runs 11.40-11.50s like nothing. The things a tank. We ran once last night after we left the track from a 60 roll and I felt so small. I was done. He said he let off at 100 and was already 5-6 cars away. The new 5.0s are nothing to mess with.

haha, I was convinced to get out of my ss/tc by a friends 5.0 too, best decision ever. Not downig the balt or anything, the 5.0 is just more car, tickled my fancy more than the cobalt

Lucky if you bought the car with those mods. Mods are expensive. These are the first performance mods I want tune excluded because that is a given

ARH LTs with X pipe = $1500

Magnaflow competition catback = $900

Airaid or K&N intake = $300

Boss 302 short runner intake mani (will likely port to match the 90 mm throttle body and the heads if necessary) = $500

BBK 90 mm throttle body = $550 (combo with the Boss IM helps with low end torque losses and improves throttle response especially below 3000 rpms)

Yep, bought it with all the mods+stock parts, otherwise it'd probably still be stock, has a JLT intake, AR LTs+xpipe, dynomax 3in bullet catback, AED tuned with SCT tuner, BMR springs and brackets+pan hard bar..

I'd like to get the 302 Mani later down the road, maybe a 100 shot as well

Definitely get a 85-90 mm throttle at the same time as the Boss IM because it will get rid of the bottom end torque losses that occur with the short runners the Boss IM has. Those two mods can make a 60 whp difference vs the stock IM and TB at over 7000 RPMs and it will keep climbing in power until about 7800 RPMs.

Yeah that's what I've been reading. I'm pretty happy with how it sits, but it couldn't hurt to squeeze a little more power out, I'd like to be around 450+whp all motor

I am wondering about how much injector and fuel pump we have because I would love to run E-47 or E-85 for another 30 whp or so over 93 octane. 11:1 CR plus ethanol should equal sex LOL.

I believe it. Bone stock 2013 5.0 on crap 87 octane runs 12.7. Check out this video of a 2013 auto v6 vs a 2013 GT both brand new with 87 octane in the tank. I hate all the V6 guys saying that the extra 5K for the 5.0 is not worth it. It costs a lot a money just to make up the 125 whp difference between them stock. People are saying the guy in the V6 cannot drive but what is there to know with an auto rwd car you floor it and go no skill involved at all.
