I am hoping tuning gets done at the end of Sept. We are only waiting on Bates to finish the cylinder sleeves. Then the engine goes back together. No bolt has been left unturned in this project.
awesome man, best of luck with the build

This video was posted by someone on this site, not sure where he's from, but it doesn't look like the STI "walked his **** hard" to me. But, anyway if you could find a Cobalt similar to this one I would imagine you'd have a pretty good race. I respect STI's and have a good friend w/ an '04, but you seem slightly cocky considering that your car's base MSRP is over $10K more than a Cobalt.

I can't launch worth a crap. Fast06SS has the same mods as me, and his best is 12.86@110mph. What do STI's with your mods generally run?

Sorry, try this.

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...ght=sti+cobalt

Nice car by the way, didn't want to sound like an ass, it just seems like the way you worded your title to the post was a little demeaning. Kinda like a Z06 owner going on an STI forum and asking why no STI's can hang w/ him. You know what I'm saying?

Yeah I am running the same mods as Rob minus W/I. I'd love to have a faster car but I am seriously traction limited with drag radials and FWD. I'd like to see some times from your vehicle when you are all said and done.

if all your friend has is a 2.6" and no tune then he is not in any way maximizing his output. Yeah I would take you on with a 2.8 .... lets get on a really super sticky road and we can go from a dig even I would love to see a high rpm launch maybe we could get some people to pitch in for a truck to tow you back to florida afterwards, hell I will even buy you a slushy ... you like slushies? I like slushies.

Mattyfinch on here has 294 WHP here in Edmonton Alberta. He has one of the fastest cars in Canada, if not North America. Though, I hear he is off to L.A.???? I didn't talk to him much last time I saw him.

LINK (Signature with mods)

I'm sure he would keep up with you!

And by the way, LSJs are not slow even in stock form! A car that will run a 14.4 quarter at 100 MPH bone stock is no slouch. I could name many more expensive cars that wouldn't do that! I would hope that your $55,000 AWD STi would rape a $30,000 FWD Chevy Cobalt with mods.

bro are you serious lmao

my freind is tuned with bolt on's running the 2.6 dont be too quick to say ****.

You want to challenge an AWD STi on a super sticky road with your Stage 2 cobalt SS. My freind had the stage tune on his car with a 2.85 and he could not get traction and even if he could get traction....my car hooks up instantly

Your car is sweet, I wish I had an STI, but you've come to pray on cars that aren't in the same league as you. Your car in Canada costs about 20grand more than an SS/SC. I would hope it would kick our ass.

Anyway, nice car, I'd like to see some races VS a heavily modded 'balt.

All he has is a 2.6, well thats pretty pointless. You're low 13? Cobalt's mosltly run 14's some run high 13's a few run low 13's and a couple run high 12's.

Is it possible: Fast LSJ?
Is it possible: too add a 3rd spolier to the 07 STI?

Seems the 06's are faster with the added spoiler and capital "I"

Just messin, very nice ride, watch the Sarcasm
