SRT4 vs R32
Joke of a car? U must be very uneducated. Lemme break it down for you:
stage 1 PCM + bolt ons = 300whp/310wtq
injectors, tune and bolt ons = 350whp/375wtq
injectors, tune, bolt ons and compressor wheel upgrade = 433whp/533wtq and a mid 11 sec car.
I wont even go into what the big turbo runs.
They may not have a lot of horses for Straight Line performance... but they'll tear your ass apart in the turns... just like they did to the Evo and STi when Road & Track tested the 3.
An R32 can bolt on a turbo and make 500+whp fairly easily.
twisties? All my races are on the highway and on the street.

lol believe me ive known what srt 4s could do from the day that i first drove one in 2003 haha... their fast cars haha... But have you ever seen a srt 4 that can handle??
My point here is the fact that r32s are gods in the twisties and is what the car is made for... their not made for straight line roll races or dig races simple as that...
lol maybe do a little more research on the damn car and realize where its potential stands....
lol and educated membor eh?? haha ******* kid thinking that the r32 doesnt have an aftermarket... that car is king in the turns i love the way those cars handle

I can spend around 4k and make 570+ whp with stock internals. Show me ANY VW that can do that and Ill be impressed. GL though. Those weak ass engines dont have anything forged.

so basically, u have a SLOW car that can go around turns fast. How does this make it superior in drag/street races again?

btw while you go upgrade your car with stage 1, 2, 3 pcms bigger bolt ons or even bigger turbo your spending less but you lost a total of what on your srt 4 say 15 grand in the past 3-4 years?
This is well said in perspective to the r32.. where they keep their value with 50,000 miles on it their still pulling off 24+ grand for the car which evens out the price you pay for the aftermarket...
either way you can have a fast car that can turn, or you can have a fast 1 dimensional car that is slow in the twisties that cant go anywhere in the snow while the r32 makes you look stupid in any type of weather

this thread makes me giggle
this especially made me giggle since the car is AWD. search r32 launch and learn something new...
edit: for the noobs in here, let see your little FWD "beast" keep traction with this kind of power. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-r_N89goFE
n i wonder why i still come around here... ok i'm done.

Im not going to sell my CSRT. Its an awsome car with lots of creature comforts and handles well in all driving conditions. Its the fastest and most versatile car Ive owned yet. You can have ur "twisties". Ill keep my in dash cooler, flashlight, painted calipers, LED cup holders, 19" polished aluminum wheels, bullet proof engine + tranny just to name a few nice standard features.
in the snow? TCS, ESP, and awsome tires allow me to chug through buffalo lake effect snow like its my job.
Do u know what TCS and ESP are? I guess not since u seem to think my car handles badly in inclement weather and i live in an area where 2 feet of snow in a single night isnt uncommon.

lol when you say srt 4 i think of the old 4 door sedan, not the mini van ugly cockpit grocery getting car....
By all means my friend you take a r32 to new york and a csrt4 up to new york, who would win? the r32 point proven, reason being germany gets at least 3-4 times more snow than new york gets on the regular... yes i used to live in germany and yes I have gone to new york plenty of times in my life
dsg tranny best tranny on the market, fit and finish of the r32 is a 10, the fit and finish of the dodge is about a 3 compared to the R, awd> fwd, hid's stock, **** and so many more options on the car that make it the price tag of 30 grand and up....
your paying 22-24,000 for a fwd vehicle thats enough said... all the options that are on the R are well worth the price tag that it has

Im sure the R32 would be better going up hill in snow. But driving around roads the CSRT was a champ this past winter. While everyone was going 10-15 under the speed limit, I was able to chug along at the speed limit no problems.
And also, german cars are different in the US and visa versa. The CSRT's in Europe have tons more options than ours.
yes they have more options as in pirelli seats, so forth for the Vw.... The r32 in germany is actually available in a dsg or a manual trans... while here in the US we only get the dsg....
Either way both nice cars, but two totally different sports animals... My whole point is that your racing a car that isnt good in the straights like srt 4s are.. whereas if you used the same comparison you think it would be fair for you to race one in the turns??

You said the SRT4's are a joke of a car and they handle like dogshit. I pointed out that theyll blow your doors off in the 1/4mi and on the street.
Now you say it isnt fair to compare straightline power vs twisties, because the VW is slower. Yet the SRT4 is still a joke of a car.
different strokes for different folks. You may "think" theyre a joke, but in all actuallity those cars ( both the NSRT and CSRT ) will spank the **** out of any VW $/mod. Not to mention everything in mine is forged. This is why we can run 570 whp without breaking a sweat on stock internals. No VW is going to do that.
While u may have a better suspension, I have a better engine, tranny and turbo. I would rather have a better engine with more ability, than coil over springs. Just seems more logical to me.
I am pretty sure when someone post up a kill or a video to back it up, they are usually a dig or a roll race on the highway in a straight line.
I don't think I have ever seen a twisty race between cars on the forums I am on.
yeah because so many of us race through the twisties.

I killed it with at least a bus or two. *ouch*
Funny how I had no problem driving my NSRT-4 through the snow on regular all seasons, 300+ whp and over 350+ wtq. It isn't always the car that handles badly, it can also be the driver.
**** I can't stand the NC drivers around here. They get 2 inches of snow and drive like 70 mph, 2 miles up the road you see them in the ditch on the side of the road or are stuck in traffic from the 4 SUV pile-up where the entire front end of one of the SUVs is gone. People here suck at driving. I think almost every idiot here can get a drivers license as long as you can make an X for signture/mark.
If I am going to spend $30k + I want a better starting plateform to begin with, and that would be the STi and Evo. And again, really, who the hell is racing through the twisties. As fun as that is, that is just plain stupid. You can't see what is around the corner or bend and chances are if you are racing you aren't going to be able to stop fast enough.

Yea. People usually dont know how to drive in the snow unless its normally a snowy area.
Yeah, you would think that they would heed the warnings to drive slower. I grew up in CT so driving in the snow as normal. DE wasn't too bad. once every three or four years we would get hit hard with snow but otherwise that is it. England was mostly just rain but occationally we would get a few inches of snow. The car handled fine in it. Is AWD better sometimes, sure, I will admit that, but saying that the SRT-4 completely sucks in handling, well, sorry, that is just BS. My friends ACR seemed to do well enough on the track racing against many AWD cars over in England. Granted that is his thing though, me I prefer drag racing more. Each car was setup more for it's type of racing. But his was mostly stock. BB kit, S1 spings, that is about it if I remember right.
lol so your telling me that any dodge and their fit and finish compared to a R32 even compares? Your telling me that you dont know that the reason the R32 was built was for the twisties not for straight lines, also this is why 99% of the time they are found racing on autocross courses not drag strips...
Yes the dodge has some nice power nice is the word... but look at your resale value compared to any 5 year old r32 and youll realize that they are still in the 20,000 dollar range because they are such a unique car...
also tell me this... You drive a car that has a production of ever year while the V32 only comes out every 4 years haha... sad thing about it is honestly that the V32 was made for autocrossing... Reason being their not good on the straight lines, to them racing in straight lines defeats the purpose of any car haha... Wanna know why?? Because every car can go straight, every dumb ass can dump the clutch and peel tires, but not every driver nor car can handle the turns hence any dodge....
Have you all ever heard of a damn srt 4 with numerous mods being able to still handle?? No, because the suspension on the car is **** even if you try to upgrade it, it doesnt compete with anything stock on any R.... which is sad

"fit and finish" ( hahahaah
sounds like a stereotypical VW excuse for being slow to me. You can twist ur ass around the block all u want. When u actually race someone, that excuse isnt going to hold up I can promise u that. When some guy is at a redlight revving at you, what are you going to tell him huh?
"sorry, I only race around corners". Wow man. Ur brainwashed by all the media BS.
The VW ANYTHING is an inferior sport compact no matter how u slice it. I dont give a flying monkeys ass how fast u can go around a circle. I will be at the drag strip with the REAL cars.
O, and if u REALLY THINK drag strip racing is skilless, why dont u tell that to some of the people who build full on drag cars and run records. Ya know what theyll say? Theyll point at ur slow ass VW and laugh while revving their real engine.
I dont care what u have in ur car. There is no replacement for a solid, powerful engine. VW doesnt know how to make those yet. At least they have nice interiors though
