Id love to see ur honda beat the records of LS1's. ID LOVE IT. GO check out and see what the records are for ls1 engines at the drag. I can guarantee you ur shitty civic wont run those numbers. Stock, OR modded. LS1 > civic. The drag strips fastest engines are V8's or above. Hate to break it to ya.

Plenty of fully built NSRT4's running 10's and 9's. The stock threshold of a CSRT is much greater than ur shitty ass civic is. AS I said since u cant seem to read: 570 whp STOCK internals AND COUNTING. Ur not going to make those numbers with ur shitty ass stock engine. U need a ******* engine swap cuz ur car is CRAP.

And no. Technology and a good engine from the factory = no need for an engine swap. Pistons, rods, camshaft, ported heads, etc are all thats needed to make power. Ur piece of **** doesnt have a good engine from the factory so u need to swap something in. Sorry bud, wrong again.

just an fyi again the car is rated to have a 23% drivetrain loss and depending on the dyno some have put down like 210ish. which calculates out to about 268bhp. well above the 241bhp...

I dont see any bolt on R32 runnins 12's with a stock 1/4mi like this. Not without a turbo or N20. That engine isnt strong enough.

and if you noticed that was back in '04. many have done it since.
i however will admit to, that with jsut bolt ons, the car doesn't gain more than lets say 50-60awhp. but then again you can argue bolt ons...

I never said I will be spanking ls1s or any V8 out there, considering that they are the most common car to mod when it comes to having a track car... But thats not what I want or need, same thing when it comes to the csrt 4... I would rather own an R32 over your piece of **** dodge... If i was all about putting power straight to the ground why dont I just buy a supra with a 2jz motor or even buy a mazda rx7 and transplant a 1jz or a 2jz motor in it... still a cheap car to do and it will be spanking almost any car out there on the road... Now we both know that car puts down easy 800 hp without much work at all

Thats also why the aftermarket for those cars are alot bigger.... I can take the motor, the shell, interior parts, dash pieces, wheels, so forth and actually make a profit on it rather than loose money like you will... The car alone is worth 2500 dollars haha, and the motor is worth 2800 dollars thats not to say all the other **** thats in the car that if I ever do sell is rare enough people will pay the money for..

It originated with american cars where they took a transplant from a totally different car and put it into another car...I never said what is more common... stroking and boring a motor are totally different things when I said that the import scene got engine transplants because domestic cars did it first, and so followed the imports.......

And I know what you can use a GI bill + kicker for.Funny how you mention this considering the stock engine has been taking countless trips down the drag strip and is daily driven by DCX while running 570 whp. If it really was going to blow, dont u think it would have by now? What else is funny is how much more durable then engine is ( tolerence wise ) over running stock. there has been, i just can't find the thread. The motor is pretty solid, they run 450WHP safely on stock internals which translates to about 553 crank horsepower. The fastest R32 has been in the 9's. And let me guess because the caliber srt4 is Jesus' chariot that is why soooo many people are buying them lol. Im sorry dude, you can put a ton of horsepower in car and make it really fast, but most people in the world like style as well as speed, and the minivan just doesnt cut it. This is just my .02 on the vwr32 and a srt-4. Last year I dated a guy in dayton that owned the fastest vw in ohio, it was a 91 gti with a vr6 swap and a 61trim turbo, cars hp was around 550-600hp, yes on fwd. At the track he could only pull off a 13.0 @ 129 all day long. My car was running better times then his(obviously i was trapping 108 though) and I only dynoed 310hp and 371trq on my small mod list in my srt-4. .. I personally have beat a 400hp r32 last year on my old tune, which i was surprised seeing as he had 100hp over my car but his car was also 700lbs heavier, guess its driver error when high hp cars loose to cars they shouldnt

I wont lie though my Nsrt4 does handle like dog ****, car has TONS of body roll when it is stock height. The nsrt4 acr cars are the better handling cars, designed for auto-x and the "twisties". Anyways srt4s are stupid! hehe

Now considering my dad has been in the military for over 30 years, my sister is a E7 working for the pentagon with a top secret security clearance took 2 tours to iraq, my brother in law works for a private outside company and just got out of the military and took 2 tours to iraq, then my brother goes to west point and is going on his junior year, is the reason why i was the one who was always taking care of my family and their needs, and my nieces while my dad and my sister and brother in law where all in iraq...
So if i were you I would seriously shut the **** up... My whole familys service was the reason why I never joined because someone had to take care of my mother and all the other family **** that went on that I really dont wanna talk about...

CSRT-4 is the ugliest car on the planet. I almost bought one, but it handled and drove like complete garbage and I ended my test drive early. My drive to work consists of turns and stop signs, so the Caliber was out. My drive to work is not a perfect straight 1/4 mile line... Also once I saw one in person I started to back peddle. Even the salesmonkey agreed they could have used some better styling. To each their own, but the csrt is a grossly over rated truck.
If your all about dyno numbers and straight line racing (not into turning or braking) and can get a good deal on one, it might be the car for you. The consensus across the industry is the same, this car is a fail.
I would take an R32 over the pos csrt any day. Not even a debate.

I agree with you on this. If youre not looking for something to build, and you want a decent pricetag a VW is a good way to go.
I have an 1/8mile and 1/4mile track both within an hour of my house. I try to go out there as much as I can.
Its all good. I really dont get offended by people. Honestly when I bring it to the track I get tons of compliments and people want to check it out. I knew when I bought it that it wasnt a "pretty" car by any means. However I couldnt turn down all the cool features ( like a cooler built into the dash ), the great year round handling, and the amazing engine.
Honestly its not a hand out... My dad is 60 years old and never used it so hes giving it to me because he cant use it... If he was going to use it then hell yeah I wouldnt take it because I have scholarships of my own but this gi bill is covering my housing and everything else in one shot....

I used to have a "pretty" SS/SC. Guess what? It was TONS slower than my CSRT and had more $$ into with mods. I moved on to bigger better things. I can get lowering springs, sway bars and probly perform just as good as you in the twisties.

ENGINE, CLUTCH, TRANNY > SUSPENSION
TURBO > SC
6 SPEED > 5 SPEED
FORGED INTERNALS > NON FORGED INTERNALS
