you just proved that you know absolutely nothing about cars... because when you go and buy a car all you shop for is how fast it can go down a track...or as in your words from a stop light...
iirc i dont remember anyone raving over the "csrt4." not saying that the r32 is anything great of the lot but then again that can be argued about many cars. if thats all you can argue is that then you my friend have a lot of growing up to do.

Fully bolted NSRT4 with ~320 whp by about 2 car lengths ( up to 90 mph from a 40 roll )
Neck and neck with a turbo upgraded STI from 60-120. He ran out of gears so he quit. I would have pulled him in 5th.
^This was all in the past week. The CSRT is PLENTY to rave about. The magazines dont get that.
to tell you the honest truth, the neon srt 4, or the caliber srt 4 are sport economy cars just like the ss/sc and the ss/tc no offense to anyone who drives one cuz I used to own one also.... Their in a affordable price range that alot of people can afford making them the easiest choice of car for alot of people, but I can bet you this right now the R32 is a car that is in a league of its own with evo's and sti's....
You dont see evos and stis being affordable to mod and not every kid can afford them either...So let me ask you this....
why do kids buy evos and stis?? Let me just name a few reasons, modability, the name brand of the car, AWD beats fwd, its capable to do anything from off roading to driving in snow to gravel to driving on any service without a hint of a problem...
So why awd? It is a platform that solves alot of damn problems lets just say that in the least, there is a reason alot of people call fwd cars wrong wheel drive cars because fwd sucks big ***** and that isnt a damn lie... Yes you can drive pretty damn normal with having some snow tires on your neon or caliber but if you honestly think that compares by any imagination to any awd car then you need to get a grip on life and go drive one yourself before you start talking your ****
The R32 in itself is a 250 hp V6, awd and honestly alot of people buy the car because of the exhaust note alone... It sounds better than any evo or sti or any damn fwd car out there on the market... The car is excellent in fit and finish, but when i say fit and finish im not talking about the damn paint or the seats in the inside, it goes to an extent much larger than that haha... theres a damn reason why the cars last upwards of 100,000 miles with very little maintenance to the car, the car stays the same it doesnt get those ugly squeeks and rattles any economy 4 door american car now a days gets which is the honest truth and yall know its true... After that many damn miles it still is as solid as the first day that you buy it...
Now with that said, it beats every car below its price tag in the turns or on autocrossing courses, and also beats alot of cars that are heavily modified with suspension mods with that car still being stock, to tell you the truth it is also decently quick considering its an awd N/A engine.... You do some mods on this car and it wakes it right up... You think your 4 banger is fast, the turbo kits on these cars alone run them upwards of 500 hp let alone the torque is usually exceeding hp numbers.... O did i mention thats without touching internals?? Yes stock internals of 500 hp safely!!!!
so lets talk some numbers here, you say well im buying a 19,000 dollar car for the dodge and the R32 for 25-30 grand and i put 5-6 grand of mods into the car.... whereas you pay both the cars off...
Now 3 years down the road that 19,000 dollar car isnt worth but what 9 grand?? And thats no bullshit for facts its the same thing alot of ss/sc owners are facing right now... thats a 10,000 dollar deficit, where the R32 only looses maybe 3-4 grand.... 4 years old they go for 26-28 thousand dollars still... I know this cuz i have been chasing down this car for a long time

Ur hunk of **** civic hatch is GARBAGE. How come u need a ******* engine swap to run 400 hp? I dont. Hell, I can run well over 570 whp on my stock internals. Can ur 3k **** can do that? I dont think so.

the last time i went to the track i got beat by a dodge omni that runs 11.9's day in and day out, anything can beat anything if modded right. I'm just saying i think the R32's are overpriced.
And when it comes to the twisties yes all wheel drive does better, but you still need a good driver and i used to laugh my ass off cause when i used to race through the canyon (before my accident) i used to own STI's through there with a stage 2 balt and nobody believed me until one night a bunch of people came to watch. so thats why i cannot see spending 30 g's on a car i can beat with my car that is 10 g's less. say what you want thats just how i feel
also if when i did rally racing with my cobalt, my first race ever in oregon, it was a smaller rallycross meet and on my third heat i was in first place in the 2wd MODIFIED class (i had no mods at the time except for the ingalls) and i was in the top ten overall including the 4wd modified. Everytime i got back to the pits people were shocked at the times i was putting down. butttt then forty feet from the finish line on my 3rd and final heat i broke the left front spindle knuckle
oh well **** happens thats part of racing haha

250 bhp does not equal 250 whp. You are talking about a car with 205 awhp approximately give or take a few ponies. I highly doubt that the 250 hp is at the wheels. Most car companies rate their cars hp at the engine.

and just an fyi the mk5 '08s only comes with dsg (auto) in USA and put way less to the wheels. the mk4 '04s are manual and have seen to put down about 230 to all wheels. stock. not boasting about it but just letting ppl know before they come on here and add more stupidity.
like before and i'll say it again the R was made for something different from "drag racing." can it be made to drag race? or has it been made to drag? oh yeah i've seen it done quit a few times. in fact i've seen the R in low 10s and i believe there have been a few that have broken into 9s and are street drivable/allowed cars. the car is a true track & autox car. there are very few other car that can actually do what this car can on a road course. the haldex system that was originally designed for audi's is amazing. oo let me geuss some ppl on here dnt know what haldex is. well, like i said before too if you dnt even know what that is then just GTFO of this thread.

just an fyi again the car is rated to have a 23% drivetrain loss and depending on the dyno some have put down like 210ish. which calculates out to about 268bhp. well above the 241bhp...

Not knocking it. Just posting up numbers. It depends on the dyno that you use. some will show higher numbers than others depending on the type of dyno they are. One that reflects real world numbers by placing a load on the car to simulate real life conditions should be the numbers that are used. other numbers are just inflated to boost egos.
