On camaro5.com they said you could just "turn off the afm", get a tune and the horsepower would be almost the same. I love the new camaro but i would definately take the 6-speed. I have a 93 z28 6-speed and it is much quicker than the auto. From my experience anyway.

 

I dont know what all this talk about a car and a half ahead or 3 cars behind is... but I will chime in on this. I get an average of 28 mpg on my way to work every day! Lets see a camaro SS beat that!~

 

Which 6 speed are you going to take...the auto is a 6sp now too lol . I had a 95 Z with a 6sp 8)
Your right about 6 speeds being faster than auto's back then ......It was a 2 to 3 tenths difference from what i used to see .

 

Maybe stock but get a good tune and you will walk away from that 4000lb monster. Remenber 4000 lbs 375 whp car is the same as 2900 lbs and 270 whp. The C6 Vette with the same drivetrain runs a full second faster in the QM becase it weighs almost 800 lbs less.
