I have 2006 nissan altima SE v6 3.5..and sorry but no chevy cobalt ss can hang with it..but again mine has had things like factory breather replaced with k&n cold air..big diffrence ..and high performance coil packs..extreme diffrence..expensive plugs..and chip in. It with cats and factory exhaust took off and high performance exhaust installed..and cobalt ss on way to work came up reving and i easily left him like at a stand still..with no problem at all..not once but 3 times ..and left him at higher sperds as well..so yeah a maxima will out run cobalt lol easy .thrre 300hp..cobalt only 260

Are we sure it was a SS and not a sport? My wifes grandma has a 08 Altima and Racecar! I bet a Prius would walk that thing. Next thing you know a Mini van is walking cobalt ss cars.

I mean a quick internet search of the user name, makes me really hope he's not the insurance agent in Columbus GA...

Holy blast from the past. I'm not sure what you raced. But, back then I had a 2006 Cobalt SS/SC and a 2005 Maxima, I also had the 2007 maxima later on. I raced both together, many times... The cobalt pulled away every single time and I actually posted the results here in war stories and posted videos.

The difference between the 2 cars was large enough that there is absolutely no way you raced an ss/sc unless the driver was just learning manual.

In any case, it's 2022, both cars are now slow as $hit for modern standards, and so is your Altima
