Really?? what imaginary world do you live in??? is Pittsburgh on drugs?

i will admit, when i was buying my SS.. it was between the LS1 GTO and the SS/SC... All the LS1 GTO's that i looked at had uner 30k on them and were selling for under $20k.

Hell even the LS2s were 23k

i still might have the invoice i took home to ponder about if yuo would like me to scan it

Hmmm i havn't encountered a ss/sc i couldn't beat. A stage two with a pulley gets taken down so quick by my car. You need a lot more than that.

LS1 GTO's are pigs, deal with it. The LS1 GTO guys are just jealous that LS1 Transams and Camaros can beat them with ease. I know for certain at BMS dragway on street fight nights the fastest i've ever seen a stock LS1 GTO run was a 14.4 or something to that extent...now if that is fast then yea...

man this thread blew up even quicker than most GTO vs cobalt threads haha, a

nd not choosing sides but theres a 04' GTO with around 20k at a dealership around here for 22,500. Which means you could get them lower than that, just figured I'd add SOMETHING to the thread

hey whats that supposed to mean?

last time i checked there are 3 Grand prix's in the 9's... all of them being FWD still, and on a 3800 motor. (one even on the stock short block)

http://www.zzperformance.com/miscftp...eekhof_901.wmv

http://1997gtp.net/Videos/ZZP9SGTP.wmv

and i cant seem to find the 3rd one

if anything the GTO looks like an oversized cavalier... which is funny because the cobalt replaced the cavy, and the GTO looks more like it than the cobalt does

True true, I apologize I actually love the GTO's as well, I'm just getting tired of the cocky LS1 GTO owners...they arn't fast GET OVER IT.

The LS2 GTO's (05-06) should be a mid to low 13 second quarter, bone stock. The LS1 GTO's (04) are very high 13 to low 14's bone stock. Not sure if it's the weight or gearing or what, but they are a bit slower then the Camaros and TA's from 98 and up. Hell, the 98 Camaro Z28's stock are a mid to high 13.

My boy has a 2000 Camaro Z28 that ran 13.3 bone stock...I would have been very depressed if I bought the very first GTO that came out. lol...They are nice, and throw a Procharger on there and see what happens, but still....

I'm guessing he drives an 04 GTO?? lol...They are pretty quick, and I do like the way they look. Oh, and throw a nice exhaust on there and WOW!! Gotta love the purrrr of them LS motors, but they gonna need some work to keep wit this Cobey.. Right now, I'm in the range of only lettin the LS2 GTO's slowly walk on me I think. I have yet to run one, but I think it would be a damn good run.

GM Stg2 with 2.79" pulley, one-step colder plugs, Cobra HE, ZZP front tranny mount, eibach sportlines, vibrant 3" cat-back(some big future plans. haha) Injen CAI, Hurst short throw, and a slight tune. Gonna get some adjustments done to the tune on the dyno soon hopefully.
