I'm Swapping to 5 Lug

I don't care if you guys don't think it's cost effective. I know the selection of aftermarket rims is insane for a 4x100, but I want a set of Polished SS wheels because I have had Aftermarket wheels and they only draw too much attention. I want the car to look nice, but not say "Rob Me!" all over it.

My car is an 06 LT Auto with ABS. I can get both the front hubs with sensors from an 06' HHR for $150 for the pair.

Do I need anything other than the front hubs with sensors and the back with sensors?

Obviously wheels, rotors and brakes.

I have a buddy who is an ASE mechanic who said he would do the swap for little to nothing so the labor is taken care of...

Any help?

dont forget about the rear also.

so the rear crossmember axel thingy for 5 lug is going to cost you about $800
then youll need new brakes instead of the drums, so you may as well get the big brake kit. about $1300

it would probably be cheaper to make custom wheels to look the way you want, rather than swap all those parts then on top of that buy the wheels. good luck either way

I got my wheels drilled to fit our gay lug pattern. Was 50.00 a pop.

how bout you take that money and buy a good set of wheel locks, or 2 even, and get a nice alarm...then you could have auto start too...

You need the whole crossmember. the big brake conversion will come with rotors and calipers etc.

I had thought about that as well. Would I need all the extra's then or just the hubs and rotors/drums?

I'm trying to do this, but keep it the most cost effective. The only down fall of going with Drums is that I plan on driving the car into the ground and when the time comes to service the back brakes, having rotors turned is much easier than replacing the drums.

What all is needed if I go that route exiged?
