Need A Favor And Some Opinions!!
I was thinking about purchasing a wheel and tire package from wheelsnext.com, and i was wondering if someone with photoshop skills could chop them onto a black 2.2l for me. I am also looking for any opinions on the wheels too. Any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated(sp?), thanks!

You are going to drop several hundred dollars on wheels/tires...? For an LS? WHY?
Trade in your LS and apply the $1000 to an 06 SS/SC, plus the current $1250 incentive they have. Much better use of your money, and you will have a lot more fun.

Forseti, i'm gonna drop 800 bucks on wheels because i want to and i'm not about to trade in my LS, which is just about 6 months old, and get raped on a trade in! Anyways, I'm debating whether to get 17s or 18s. i'm kind of leaning towards the 17s becuase i dont want any rubbing issues with the tires. if some on with photoshop skills could chop something for me i would greatly appreciate it!
06LSjunkie, its a financial deal, you just have to step back and run the numbers...sure, you'll get hit on a trade-in...I figure your LS is probably worth $10K trade in if it looks good....
but you must add together the current incentives on 2006 models ($1250) plus what you would spend on the wheels...and the total gain you would get on other elements....
Also, whatever the spread is...you would get the new wheels, better performance, better suspension, better tires, reset the warranty....you are getting a ton more than just alloy's....that has to be figured into the cost equation. For example, if you were thinking of spending other $$$ on your LS for performance enhancements...you would not have to....and that money would also need to be considered.
The car would then also have a higher residual value than your LS will...so remember you may make out on the back end as well...
Now, if you are already financing your LS, you would probably do a refinance...so your payments would go up. But by how much? Probably just tens of dollars if financed over MORE than 3 years. Remember, the dealers should be pretty incented to dump 2006 models. I wouldn't pay much more than $100-$200 over invoice, and THEN take off the $1250 incentive. Plus, I don't pay for junk like protective coating crap or pinstripes. Any dealer markup they have to take off.
.
Seriously, take it to a dealer, see what comes back. Be a brutal negotiator...after all, you don't really need the car....
One other thing...check how much your insurance might jump if you get an SS or SS/SC coupe...that is another part of the cost equation.
Or...you could go a little down the boring path, and get an SS sedan...you get the performance bump, your insurance probably stays the same (may go down on a 4dr).
If you do get a sedan...brace yourself now...get the automatic, or reselling the vehicle will be a nightmare. You will take such a hit on it it won't be funny.
Oh, and if you qualify for it, instead of the $1250 you can get 0% financing and $500. That may also help out.
Run the numbers at a dealer...who knows how hungry they are for a deal...worst case, you waste your money on the wheels....(I'll bet there are a ton of more important things you could spend that money on, however...like if you financed your car, you could use it to pay down the loan....boring, but financially smart...)

i got an LT with 18s and i dont have any rubbing.. i bought my wheels from wheelsnext... and if you buy the rims there you can tell them you want the free lowering springs and it only cost you $50 for shipping
Forseti dude, calm down. I'll be dropping money into my car and its only an LS. Once the computer codes are broken and hptuners produces the kit then the LS will be able to support turbo. Thats why its actually smart to keep the LS. A lot of potential when the ECU is broken.
