oh ya thats the best part... i ordered them but i didnt pay for them... if for any reason the tire or rim do not fit 100% i get to look thru the catalog again and pick out something different. Thats why im saying give me a week or so and ill let you know if they rub or not. Im finding out at the expense of my local tire dealership

it likely would but if your already prepared to bottom out your driving would be the best tool to keep the car safe

Check my SIG, i have those. Both 225's and they dont rub. Perfect handling, great traction.

the 235's will fit. the problem for fit is on the rim. our stock rims are not wide enough. 225/45 or 40 is the way to go. I recommend the 45 series as it will be less for giving in size, ride, and more side wall helps for 60fts.

the 235's have been tried before and unfortunatly the person had them on after market 7.5" wide rims. the center of the tire showed more wear. it just does not fit properly unless you have a 8" rim. 9" is the best according to tire manufactures.

On a 18" x 8" rim would a 235/45/18 fit well with the Eagle F1 GS D-3
Looking for some good 60ft times without drags or slicks for now. These would perform well on the street too.

Those Generals tires are only $79 a piece off of TireRack, is that right? Seems really cheap to me.

no thats the price of them. look em up on discount tire and they will say something like 140 and the pirreli's are like 160~180. there are huge mark ups on tires when buying retail and some tires just cost more than others straight from the manufacturers

Dam! That's a pretty sweet deal then, especially if you say that the traction and overall performance has increased. Thanks for the info.
