to those that are selling there balts for a EVO/STI/S2K/ETC!
I don't understand it why people buy a car to portray a certain image of themselves. Long story short I'm only 23 and make six figures. I have nothing to prove to any one so I buy a car because I love that car. I have a cobalt ss tc, corvette, and just bought a cts-v sedan(supercharged). Why would someone say that ohh it's a little boys car or a poor mans car? For example, an evo, sti, srt4, as well as ss can all be had with a 20 dollar an hour job but the majority of the people I know that drive these cars make much more and have other cars than just one of these. They may all be considered "econo boxes" but I think there all a blast to drive and will continue to drive such cars for as long as I can because there so much fun.
By no means am I a braggart and there's nothing wrong with not making a **** ton of money. Most of the people I know that have money are douche bags anyways. My father came to Canada from Ireland with very little money but took advantage of the 80's and 90's economy and built up a small empire but you would never know it by taking to him. He has always raised me to "remember your roots". I have more respect for regular pay people because you know what it's like to have to work. There's a sense of falsery with the majority of the well off crowd. Who cares if you don't make a lot of money because that's not what defines you. My father made me bike my ass 16km a day to my minimum wage job for 4 years straight just so I would appreciate money and show me what it's like to have to work. I now work for him though so it payed off though.
Think of it this way, the nicer you make an interior, the heavier it gets. There's a reason why most new cars that are considered to have a nice interior weight at least 3500+ lbs. That would slow you down, or the car would end up costing another $5-10k more new. You can't have everything. Fast, cheap, and quality don't all go together.
