Please do keep us updated! I hope it's not a mistake of some guy talking out of his ass (not you, the guy who claims to have them...)

Agreed, I wont believe it until I see it. However I have bought about 3 sets of rims and tires off him the past 6 years and he's always bang on with fitment advice etc. His shop is always packed... very popular guy for a reason, and he's not one of the many noob ricers you run into these days at shops who think they are god cause they have a k swapped hatch. Here's to hoping for the best...

I'm about 99.9% certain those won't fit looking at the drawing. You need about 48mm of clearance between the face of the wheel and the inside of the spokes max and the 17" aura wheel from what I see only has 29.

Did you all see the thread about using your stock rims to run the winter tires, then pick up something else aftermarket to run the summer tires....sort of like I suggested....

Yeah, but I'm old and really want a 17" rim because I want a taller softer tire! Really lame huh?

costs considerably more

extra set of 18/19s costs more than a set of 17s + then you need to get 18" snow tires and if you upped to 19" you need to buy new 19" tires too

hmmm... I bought a new set of 18" rims for about $450 shipped, and nice used 18" snow tires for around $240 shipped.... so came in at about $700.....but then had to pay to get 8 tires mounted and balanced.....another $140.......

I guess it depends on what deals you can find....I have seen a set of the new TC rims on here for $400......if you wanted something different and aftermarket to run in the summer it is a nice solution......new 16 and 17" snow tires for sure cost less than 18" tires...

I just saw a set of snow tires and steel rims sell here for $150......used of course...

Ok, I tried several 17 inch steel wheels and none had the offset I needed. The TC likes a 42 offset.
I got 4 of these + 4 Nordic's installed and balanced for 1300 taxes in. That was my solution. No spacer is needed here, and the fit is like stock.

The rims are from FAST and they type is called "SALSA" ... everybody dance now..

http://fastwheels.ca/component/page,...d,59/vmcchk,1/

This will be the only winter my tc will see, so I plan on using these to mount racing slicks onto. They will also be powder coated black, and the FAST centerpiece swapped out for an SS emblem

And you test fit these rims before purchase?

Fast Wheels sent me that link stating this is the only website that carries their wheels. They ship to the USA as well. So heres to hoping that these wheels fit...as we will all have a means of purchasing them!

good find, cheeper than tiretrends in Vancouver but only by $100 which is almost worth it for the quicker shipping.

Mal and I have already talked in PMs, and I can confirm what he's saying about the BSA 17's... I have the exact same setup from the same place. I have pics in the SS/TC picture thread of the wheels/tires and the spacer all separate. You can get an idea of just how small the 3mm spacer is.

The whole package was fairly cheap considering we're talking pretty nice looking 17" alloys, and the fact that the Gizlaveds Mal and I will be running are fantastic snow tires.
