Yeah. From what I hear, it's very dealer-dependent too. One dealer turns up their nose or has an guilty until proven innocent attitude, while others just want the work and want to please so you'll come back for the kind of stuff that brings in money for them.

For the most part, mine's treated me right. Fairly should be the term I'd use. They fix the stuff that's their fault and I pay for the stuff I break.

Hey Bill. Where can a guy get a tech. sheet showing where a oil pressure guage, coolant temp, volt meter, etc. can be safely hooked up. I have such a sheet from GM for my LS1. It was invaluable when hooking up the Painless Perfect stand alone wire harness and ECU. With all the controls built into this car I don't want to screw anything up. It would be nice to have a couple of gauges mounted to get instant, and easily visible, readouts. Not to mention appearance.

I'm said HP Tuned Cobalt in the first post. If the stage 1 is still around the beginning of September I'll run it if that's ok with Bill. I might buy the kit just for the sensors...

I remember that, Shib no doubt it would be a nice race but I'm pretty sure you would win, however this thing would put up a good fight.

It really depends on the dealer and what part failed. For example..I took my tuned car in for a busted Fuel Pressure Regulator Solenoid or something dumb (code P0091) and they fixed it without any questions or hesitations...In fact same dealer my buddy bought his SS/SC from...they did the stage 2 kit for him and then when he later called to ask for the tool to do a pulley swap...they put a smaller pulley on for him and said it was cool...so it really is case by case. And there have been what like 4 or 5 engine hard part failures thus far in all the platforms (Sky RL, Solstice GXP, Cobalt SS, and HHR SS)...It appears to be a well built well engineered motor and it appears to be able to take quite a beating and just keep going...keeping your engine's powertrain warranty is cool..but if it wasn't going to break anyways...then why not just go for more power. I'm probably going to get the stage kit then re-custom tune on top of it for even MORE power.

Sweet its nice to see some other people running high psi. Everyone should know that the stage kit wont be able to beat tuned car; however, no one has raced it yet. I am very pleased with the way the stage kit performs.

Yea, Stage1 is good for a factory upgrade. They priced it way too high though. I think $400 would have been a great price for it. Remember, 300whp is attainable with just a HPTuners tune.

Ask Bill if he will sell you a GM Upgrade, minus the TMAP sensors, connectors and of course the under hood and fuel door stickers, for the price of an aftermarket tune if you will sign off of your 5 year, 100,000 mile warranty. Maybe you can work a deal.

Won't I lose horsepower without the stickers though?

Probably. But you have to take your chances if you want to buy by price alone.

Sorry about the NON quote. The site keeps telling me I need more than 4 letters??????????????????????

Well the price for the ss/sc stage 2 kits is the same and you are getting that much comparison power plus a little more. So the stage kit is well worth it. People who have bought a ss/sc stage 2 kit and a LNF stage 1 kit will realize that its the same impressions. People will agree when the stage 1 kit will be well worth it!
