BOOM! Intercooler split open
I sent this to the dealership via email:
"Here is just a handful of examples I have found. One customer went through four of these! The passenger side end cap bursts whenever it gets cold out. Never the driver's side! The intercooler core keeps the passenger side from warming up, as the heat is absorbed and dispersed in the aluminum core. The boost pressure and cold weather are too much for the passenger side end cap to handle."

For those of us that are worried about the powertrain warranty, I an understand wanting to stick to the stock IC, but I HAD to make the switch. I was just tired of my car being in the shop every winter. If they wanna say the metal IC will void any warranty claims toward my 100K drivetrain warranty, then I guess I'll be ready to fight.
