cmiller, is the car up on stands right now? Could you take a picture or measure from the front of the car at the struts? I'm looking to find out how much clearance we have at full droop between the bottom of the strut and the axle boot. Thanks!

Its gone. But everything is still ZZP but the turbo. I am adding ZZP's neutral balance shafts and the valve spring retainers as well.

Looks like I've got a volunteer. I'm good! Just looking at a possible suspension project.

Not really enough of them that I've seen to say anything good or bad, but zzp style mani is gonna allow faster spool too over a longer tubular too...You can't even get a real air filter on the vulcans lmao and few people had oil drain problems also..If it works why try and reinvent it because something "looks cool"

Yea I dont see a problem with the ZZP mani. The others do look nice but for the price difference you cant beat it.

I was at the QSL 2010 GM tuner bash as well, I would like to make it to a cobalt meet or 2 tihs summer as well. NE Ohio doesn't have too many cobalt get togethers even though there are a good amount just in this area. Either way am looking forward to seeing this car again.

Lol as faster spool with a log manifold. I love the internet. Its all in the setup.

Not bad.
Why is that funny? Yes it's dependent on the turbo of choice and housing options/wheels, ic piping, ic, etc, but the tubular mani's for our cars at least I have seen nothing impressive. ZZP's log made as above stated which next to noone on here is going to do. They had full boost at 3k rpms with an s252et and their kit, better than any setup I've ever seen with the longer tubular mani's on here...

log manis are simple and do what they are suppose to do. im not gonna argue that they dont spool faster (even though i think full-race proved that to bs BS) but what i will say is that even if they spool like 300 rpm faster then a tubular style mani with a merge collector about 500 rpms after that the tubular will out do the power that the log mani is making and then just keep increasing from there. effeciancy is the key here people. but price dictates alot when modding a car. that turbo looks super sexy BTW miller.

Thanks. And dont get me wrong a tubular mani would be sweet. They can make more power for sure and I have seen it happen on srt4's. But for what I want to do and not want to really go to custom on that stuff the log sytle is perfect for me. Not a whole lot of room back there either but not saying a nice one cant be made still. pwerks has a kind of mid length style on there car that does a good job as well.

woops, didnt mean to direct that at u sir. its funny that the die hard log manifold guys (not talking about u slowline) that always use the exuse "they spool faster then tubular manifolds do". a tubular mani with a low angle merge is where its at wether it be divided or non they will out perform a log mani.......... u know.

Its also in the cam setup. If you have stock-like cams with a tubular manifold, your spool will be slower as you're not pushing out as much exhaust to spool the turbo. Get an aggressive cam paired with a tubular manifold and your spool will surprisingly be a decent amount quicker. On a log manifold, you want as little overlap as possible.

Us Honda guys have toyed with this as the pre-vtec lobes are like an econo camshaft setup and the vtec cam lobes are decently aggressive. Most log manifold guys are setting the vtec crossover to around 7000rpms and making more midrange power than if they'd set it lower. The tubular manifold guys set the vtec crossover to around 4500rpms and it spools the turbo faster.
