And Tom, thats the other problem i had too, a small rev felt terrible like it was missing but isn't actually, cam tables my man. And if you have cat warmup enabled, then yeah it will start and idle like crap. Mine is disabled and tuned out.

I'll drag out the gopro setup and make some videos soon.
Cat warm up is off I 5think, I'll check. But ya right now I have a base tune with no logs yet so I guess I'll have to wait

Just did a cold ompression test with 80 miles on the clock. I guess I did break in correctly, I got 150 on all cylinders no variation. Hot test should be even higher.

spool on the s257 is about 3800-4000 the fun picks up, it's building boost up to that point but that's where it just rockets up.

First oil change today at 200 miles, redid some 6an fittings to fit better for the pcv system. I put around 100 miles on it just today in Houston heat and traffic and she did great while I looked for places to move to.

Oil looked ok, no shavings, I didn't expect any as I cleaned the block at work with a pressurized solution that is used for cleaning hoses for oxygen service so it removes all oil and debris, then wd40'd the crap out of everything.

Will update at 500 miles for the next oil change, if y'all have any questions just let me know. i gotta start tearing down he old lnf next and get it ready to part out.

Wanted to let you guys know, that stage 4+ KY clutch is an absolute dream to drive compared to my KY stage 3 pucked clutch before this. Its easy to slip, slightly higher pedal engagement (which is good) and just overall feels like a stock clutch. Pedal pressure is only ever so slightly more than the stage 3. Bought from James Rakes (RPT) with SAAB throw out bearing, torque capacity of it is 565-585ctq or about 485-515wtq max he said.

Car feels good on 20 psi so far, actually pretty damn fast for low boost and low timing, I'm very impressed with the S257, perfect turbo IMO for daily driving with great potential.

new LDK set up

How much did it cost you to build that motor?
I have a extra LNF that I want to have torn down and rebuilt for big power.

Right around $5k I'd guess, I got a lot of discounts on parts and machine shop work through friends and did all the building myself besides balancing and honing. I was going to go with a pte6062 turbo but was just too much money. I love all the polished parts you have going on, that project is gonna look beautiful.

Thanks, Im thinking maybe this summer getting the extra LNF up to ZZP to do a complete build. We'll see. depends on the $$$$ the LDK has Stage 2 cams and springs ,the bigger Opal injectors and the intake is ported and polished. Yours looks sweet has it been on the dyno?

Thanks, I'm still taking it kinda easy on it, only small 20psi pulls here and there, no long WOT yet, feels nuts though on just 20psi. No dyno time yet, but I plan on pushing this thing into 30+ psi range so we'll see what she can do. I'm going to put at least 1,000 miles on her before turning it up and to make sure the clutch is properly broken in.

Man... I always say the stocker/GMPP is plenty but that 4+ looks really good.

Can I ask what the cost on it was? Where does the pedal release?

You'd have to contact James Rakes for current pricing as idk if I'm allowed to say how much. I've never seen it offered anywhere else tbh, didn't even know a stage 4+ existed. Pedal release is slightly higher than the stage 3 so right around the middle I'd guess, it's super easy to drive and slip for smooth starts, feels almost like stock with a bit more pedal pressure but not much and a different engagement area. I love it so far. It's the perfect high torque clutch for a daily driver imho.

Appreciate the info.

My 76K mile stocker isn't liking the 6758 at all in 4th and that's with it neutered quite a bit.

It's either going to be another stocker/GMPP or this. We'll see I guess.

Gmpp is a great clutch but I think you may be asking too much from that clutch.

Gmpp wont last with a 6758. That clutch is over rated

I took my gopro along on Sunday to show you guys what the ZZP full catback (resonator and muffler) sounds like as well as how the S257 behaves on the street. This is basically unedited street driving. There is a few small 2nd gear pulls, nothing crazy, so just a teaser vid. EWG opening under a bridge at the end lol. Proper professional edited videos after break in is done.

As much as I don't want to do it, I'm pulling the trigger on the 4+ today.

I think you're both right in that a stocker/GMPP won't last. I'm just concerned about DD duty but from the video posted, it looks like it's not an issue at all

08VRSS - Thanks for the video man! Really helped me make my decision and it's pretty cool to see how responsive the 257 is!

Ya so Did I, was fine. I honestly don't remember how stock is but I don't find it annoying at all. Feels like driving any other standard

Sorry guys, I'm just scarred I've had my share of aggressive clutches when I was younger, in my LSx days.

I've driven/tuned an HHR with a KY S3 and the pedal wasn't too bad at all. Engagement was literally at the top and it chattered. I'm hoping the 4+ is the same without the chatter.

Pedal engagement is more towards the middle and being a full face clutch, you have to try hard to make it chatter. Stage 3 to this is a huge difference in driveability. You'll love it.
