I'm hoping with the lowered psi in 2nd gear I can achieve a low 5 second 0-60. Once Vince sends me the new tune I'll post a vid.

Oh I will agree with that, but I think there is some torque management going on with it... because i'm dead hooking with it, it just doesn't pull anywhere near as hard as it does launching in the tc off setting and launching traditionally... and I don't have the selectable tune so I have 23 psi in every setting, and did that for this reason

for the untrained, this is the way to go, as its pretty much idiot proof, lol... but even with the adjustment a 2200rpm traditional drop is key

We designed it so we only lie when competition mode is selected and the vehicle isn't moving, so it's only when you're launching that the RPM displayed is incorrect. Once you start moving, it goes back to normal.

If you have a dashawk or interceptor, or some other OBD2 datalogger, it will display the proper RPM always.
say your idling at 750 rpm's how much will it be off? likewise when your foot is to the floor in LC will it display the right rpm?

thanks

When you are at an idle/stop with the tune on the rpm reads about 1250 rpm, When you're pedal is to the floor the rpm will read what the LC was originally set at my car reads 4,800 but in actuality it is 3,120. set at 65%. Once you're car starts to move rpm's are correct.

I think this should be a sticky.

So everyone thinks 65% is the best, I liked stock 5000 RPMs I just released the clutch slowly and I didn't spin too bad IMO, but with 65% do you guys just drop the clutch or still release it slowly? I'm gonna set mine today.

I ease off it and it launches perfect! I did a test run last night on my way to work and it felt like I got to 60 in less than 5 seconds!! Not much wheel spin in second cuz I had Vince lower the boost to 17 psi instead of the full 24 for second gear

Well I just set mine, seems like it's working fine. I'll test it out tomorrow morning and see how I like it.

Easing off a clutch, what does this ential? I have this idea in my head that in involves a burning/grinding metal smell.

I need to set the parameter to 65%, then flash my tune file over again?

it went well at the track the other day. i did a run with the full 24 psi, wheel spin all the way in 2nd gear!!! then i tried the 17 psi setting and it worked perfectly. my best time was 13.604 @ 108 MPH with the 17 psi tune (cruise control on). i didnt know that Vince set it up to 17 on 2nd-5th gears instead of second only. not to bad for 5 psi less and a .036 difference in time as apposed to 24 psi on 2nd-5th (cruise control off). best run on full 24 psi was 13.64 @ 110 MPH. i emailed him that i would like for him to tweak out my tune for 17 psi for second gear only. once i get my new tweak ill head out to the track and see how much my time will improve!! im shooting for low 13 second time.
