I mean I could see the compression being low due to the rings needing to seat, but not that low. Yeah, I'd let your friend's dad's shop look at it if they deal with internal work. You're talking about tearing your entire engine down again to check the rings.

Its not going to start with that low of compression.

Timing looks right but those phasers dont look like they match. Every LNF I have seen the exhaust phaser has the black colored plastic cover and the intake has the yellowish cream colored plastic cover on it. Yours are both black and the one on your exhaust says INT on it and has the intake cam phaser part number stamp on it. Not sure if that matters but Im pretty sure thay are different. 50psi is way too low.

your intake cam phaser is on the exhaust side, and did you check if your crank sprocket has the friction washer? if it did the timing marks are not right on the washer

No I don't have have the friction washer and the cams are the same ones that were on the car when I took. It apart so that means that a previous dealership put it together wrong

But I see what you guys are saying would that be part of the issue with the timing I would assume so but the color issue I have no idea

There is no color difference between intake and exhaust. It may just be newer/older design. Both of my phasers are yellow.

The color doesn't really matter its the fact that the phaser is supposed to be for the intake side not exhaust

I was referring to the color of the actuator being the same color was the way my car came not them being on the wrong side, but the timing issues were that the motor was mistimed and valves were bent, the dealership fixed their mistake and replaced the valves

Yeah Im pretty sure that the actuators are different in some way hence the different part numbers. Maybe the plastic covering the outside doesnt matter at all. But that could def be a problem if the ECU is trying to phase the cams and they are phasing improperly cause of the mixup. That would explain your compression snafu, maybe, cause the valves may not be fully closing allowing the air to escape before full compression is reached. I doubts that there is anything wrong with the pistons unless you seriously fucked up the install and the rings arent even present LOL or you didnt tq down the head lproperly...both scenarios highly doubtful in your case.

Their definately different and have different part numbers. In fact one is $15 bucks more than the other.

Ok because nothing would go perfect with this car
It has two leaks a coolant and an oil leak and the car is limp mode because of the fuel pressure code p0087

Well, if they pulled the head and reused the gasket and head bolts then that could be the issue.

i have arp head studs they are reuseable but the head was not pulled
the leak is coming from a banjo bolt on the turbo that needs a fitting, tried to use a crush style washer but it really didn't work out going to try something else or just try and get one from gm

the fuel issue we think is due to the fact that the gas has been in my car since septemeber and its a full tank, got 1/2 siphoned out so far, going to get it all out and replace the fuel filter as well and hopefully it corrects the issue

the smoke is from the exhaust more than likely from all the oil that was trapped in the piping, i have a new stock front mount and piping but had to use the stock downpipe to start it up, just got my catless one back so we are gonna throw that on there to see if that helps

the car drives fine, drove it around the shop

Ah, ok. You mentioned bent valves. Thats why I assumed the head was pulled.
