Trust me, your not the only one with weird issues. Im the only one that I know of that had the dowel in the intake phaser come loose and thow off my timing and damage the intake CAM. Im the only one that I know of that has had to do double the mods of everyone else just to get the performance that others get with a DP and a tune LOL Im the only one that I know of whos chain tensioner keeps going bad and the only one whos engine has broken 3 chain guides for no apparent reason.....so yeah LOL

It sucks. But Ive stuck with it. For how much longer? I dont know....

 

i broke my own rules by buying this car, it was already debaged i should have known something was up

but idk if the machine shop that put my shortblock back together damaged the gaskets around the thermostat so i need another one and then the thermostat housing is stripped

i can't wait for this all to be done get my coilovers installed and call it a day

 

I feel bad for you, my man. You're in car-quicksand. It happened to me with an old TR-6. I already spent a ton of money on it by the time I realized it was going to take a ton more, and the damn thing never ran right. I called it a loss and washed my hands of it, but this is a newer car and can be fixed. You may just have to step away for a while and take a breath, then go back to it.

 

You'll be good. They can helicoil the housing and it will be as good as new.

yeah they are using the hexicoil and i'm just waiting for a new bolt to come but it was the fuel pump no more codes
