pics of the carnage!
Idk if your interested but I have a set of stock pistons and rods with 35k on them laying around nothing wrong with them I built my motor to handle the pte 5857 turbo I have on it now
thanks for the offer but my other 3 pistons are fine @ 30k miles and for a brand new piston and rings is only like 75 bucks so ill just fork over the money for one
I don't know for sure...I'll have to call him. But if I had to guess, I would say its because he tunes people on this site, but isn't a vender. So some people have an issue with it because he isn't paying this site for his skills. I think its bullshit...but ya know some people don't mind their own business and have nothing better to do with their lives. I makes NO SENSE to me for him...or anyone for that matter, to have to pay css.net for their skills in tuning or what ever product they sell. They spent the time and energy to go to school or make their products. Not this site...again...what do I know. /rant
theres tons of tuners on this site that arent supporting vendors... i guess some ppl just got a little jealous that he was taking some business away, thats all.
well shes back on the road! bolted up a complete head from a hhr ss w/ 3200 miles courtesy of chevycobaltss3 along with a brand new piston and rings. everything works now except the fog lights. its going to be a long road ahead trying not to boost for awhile but it will all be worth it in the end
Congrats...... Keep me updated. Maybe one day you'll get a chance to race me lol....ill even turn my fog off too. My extra bump in power..... Lol
Sweet! Glad to hear it man. Now is that brand new 'piston or psiton's'? lol
If you were breaking in a fully built engine I would say def do the proper break in. That being said you probably dont need to do the full 1000k for one piston. Although you do need to vary your RPMs and speed alot to make sure the rings seat properly on that new piston. Your probably good to about 500m just to be safe.
