Good job, way to stand behind your product.

Stock pistons and rods. I didn't know Diamond made LNF pistons.

sorry about that, I meant Wiseco forged LNF pistons, not Diamond like the ones they make for the LSJ. I thought they had a unique name to it. So the stock pistons can take the heat? That would make me less to worry about blowing any pistons, I just don't trust my boost guage to go pass 25psi. That's why I asked, incase I decide go that route in the future. Thank you Matt, excellent job on the project from ZZP.

The best thing to do is just consult the company that you want to do your build. I'm sure the guys at ZZP could easily help you put together a build that would suit your needs. I think you would get your needs best met by taking a that route like that...

Diamond will make LNF pistons as a custom order either stock spec or custom.

I wouldn't run Diamond pistons regardless.

I made the trip back to ZZP yesterday to pick up my car.
I have to say those guys did an Awesome job on my car!!
The customer service from the ZZ Performance from the start of the project until the end has been great. They kept me informend and answered all my questions from beginning to end. They said they could do the job in a week and did they ever deliver.
The car is a BEAST!

When I got there yesterday I met with Ryan and looked over the build. We then took the car out for a test drive and to cover everything that was done. The car ran great.
Ryan wanted to make sure I was happy with everything.

I decided I wanted something changed about the car on the ride. We pulled the car into one of the bays and on the lift it went. Ryan began fabricating new pieces to make the change. It took a couple of hours to redue it but these guys made it happen.

While Ryan was fabricating, cutting and welding. Matt got with me and we went over HP tuners and the settings for the car. Matt loaded a couple new files for me and showed me how to work it. He also showed me how to set up for logging on the road course. I will then be able to give additional feed back and review how things are on the track.

I could not be happier with the job they did on the car!!

Matt will be posting more pictures as well as the GREAT dyno numbers.

Where about in western PA do you live? I go up to Johnstown area about once a year to visit family, I wouldn't mind checking out the ZZP install and getting a ride in it?

But the logical question is - what's causing the flex coupler to collapse inward?? (extreme heat, high/low afr, bad manufacturing/cheap stuff, turbo surge???)

Every downpipe you have sold with inner braided flex will fail as shown in the picture. ZZP exposed this 5 years ago and were one of the first companies in the US offering interlock flexes in downpipes. You have 3 main types of flex. Single wall, which is loud. Inner braid which will not work in boosted applications. Interlock (sometimes called turbo flex).

The heat is what causes the failure but the problem is that most customers never know the part has failed. Despite how bad it looks, the symtoms are hard to notice. ZZP is one of, if not the, largest distributor of interlock flex in the US. We supply many small companies with our flexes as well as larger companies like Borla. We'd be happy to quote you out Synapse if you want to email.

-Almost forgot. This issues goes through every boosted car's forums generally. Here's me talking about it 4 years ago:

That sounds like an awesome experience man, congrats! Im sure that car is insane now.

That kit looks great, I especially love the look of their CP, and the exhaust manifold looks quality too.

You better be making some good videos real soon

This is Kevin's dyno sheet after the build was complete. We are very happy how smooth this build went and how easy Kevin was to work with.

Now are the ZZP valve springs just as good as supertech 78lb valve springs? I'm curious because I might be doing a head next and I would like to know which is perfected. I don't know if Matt or Ryan have any input.

Also another question. Can an LNF intake manifold bolt up to an LSJ if they want to go turbo? Or is it best to buy like the hahn or vulcan intake manifold

So we need a new clutch , valve springs and a ported head for this 425 kit , plus the kit and that is about all right ?

valve springs were probably optional, and clutch, but the stock clutch would probably bug out after a while

I believe they said the valvesprings allowed the S256 to make over 500whp above 7K. Without the springs the max was around 450whp. Correct?

You don't have to do any of those options, but we do recommend the clutch and valve springs. Kevin's car did not have a ported head. Matt's LNF does not have a ported head on the 252ext setup, but did on the 256ext setup. I don't feel that you would need a ported head to get to 500whp, but then you start running into the other obv. problems.

The boost was set to taper off due to fueling limitations. It was the only pull done on those air load settings. It would smooth out if we did more pulls.
