Don't think a group buy will be necessary. This is a highly anticipated item

Well if u click the drop down the exhaust housing only is $500. 6758's go for about $1400 when u can find them so I think that price is just to hold the spot like ppl said

they have one available for sale at that price at the moment if you read the description ... so most likely that is not the final price, they are just selling it at that cost couse its the only one of its kind for now lol no problem with that. Thats what they did with the one they auctioned off right

Yes, that is not the final price. We just put it up because a few people keep emailing and calling every day asking if it's ready yet. If someone wants one bad enough, they can buy one, but they will be quite a bit less expensive when they are readily available.

Wouldn't it be easier for those of you waiting to find a good used turbo and buy the ZZP exhaust housing which is available now for $500?

$500 is for the housing, 2 water lines, oil fitting, and wastegate bracket.

It's not beta testing. We have tested about a half dozen of these and for more than a year overall. It's paying for the extremely limited supply.

Just to review: What was/is the reason for the BW shortage to begin with?

I've heard two things so far. One reason for the shortage was the picking and usage of EFRs for Indycar and the redesigns based on learnings from that, as well as an elevated number of consumer initial unit failures also prompting a review/redesign.

Anybody have information on any of that or any other reasons behind it?
