You may have missed that the ZFR currently listed on the site is the only one they have for right now and is marked high on purpose b/c they keep getting emails and phone calls about it. From what I gather, they plan to sell them at a lesser price once they are available in normal amounts for the general public.

This is one of those... "If you want it bad enough, you gonna have to pay" situations.

I called a few places that Sell the EFR 6758 and they are all sold out which I wasnt surprised. I got different answers from all of them. Some said late July, Some said September, and I called treadstone and asked and they told me they have a back order list going I asked him if there was a lot of Cobalt SS owners requesting this turbo and his response was " this isnt a cobalt related product " I was like wow!

Just thought Id share!

I got better info from a few turbo places I called up as well. The Indycar thing is a thing, but apparently Borg Warner is also in the midst of changing parts suppliers right now too. Perhaps they bumped into a quality issue with one of their suppliers that justified doing an immediate re-sourcing effort.

Well that is a true statement. The EFR will not directly bolt up without some modification nor is the turbo a cobalt only product. So yeah, dumb question, got a dumb answer.

He is also right in telling you its not a cobalt related product because i cant wait to see how many tards order an EFR and then come on the forum to bitch about it not bolting directly in.

How is it a Dumb Question? I asked if many cobalt owners where requesting this turbo. It will bolt up with the ZZP housing and a few people are running the EFR right now with no issues. I know that turbo is not a cobalt only product again I asked if MANY cobalt owners were requesting this turbo.
