I never doubted this - now 300(ish) whp is a "tune only" option for those willing to chance it...

I always figured that if the N-SRT4's were pushing 500hp, that we would be up there in no time flat - assuming we had some aftermarket support.

It uses the factory O2 housing so yes any lnf dp will fit. But from What I have seen ZZP's fits the best anyway so why use a different company.

Yes, this turbo still uses the factory o2 housing.

Stumbled across this:

EFR 6758 diagram

Also, looks like word on this is getting around on other forums too..
http://www.honda-tech.com/showpost.php?p=44944586

Something I was wondering was: (In theory) If I already have a 6758, then how much would the exhaust housing that bolts up to our manifold go for?

The tranny is rated at 260 Ft lbs (Flywheel)...yes..there's a safety margin, but like the tibit I quoted from the article above, you don't wanna go over 50% of the rated torque, which would be 390 Ft lbs FLYWHEEL..or roughly 360 to the wheels. Maybe that guy with the Focus drove it like a little ol lady?

Not saying it'd make much of a difference, but it may raise the rated+safety margin number, considering GMS1 makes like 340 ft-lbs at the crank on paper I think it was.
GM1 makes 320 Ft lbs at the FLYWHEEL...that's roughly 300 to the wheels.

actually 260ft/lbs was the torque rating before GM released the stage1;
if you missed it, GM quietly upped the torque rating of the transmission the same time they released the kit to 320ft/lbs... now, how much of a saftey rating they have above the 320ft/lbs... who really knows.
We all know there is a saftey margin that manufactureers always have;
I have read of several cars running the older Getrag-282 in a GM car with a V8 ~ which undoubtedly has far exceeded the 282's torque rating (which iirc was 200ft/lbs)...

Sure..to accomodate the tranny under warranty and that falls well within the *plus 50%
limitation* originally at 360 Ft lbs to the wheels. Doesn't change that upper limtation at least in my mind. You KNOW 400 ft lbs is testing the very upper limits...this isn't rocket science here. I guess it boils down to what ZZP said...some (*enthusiasts*) don't care and will test the limits .."that's what they do" .

so you really think there's only a 50% margin?
I would have guessed about double that...

why are you wasting so much energy on this? if you want to stay stock to save your transmission, go ahead

Yes It's good info for all who are enthusiasts. I have started a thread in the BMW community as well. A little taste of SS potential

That's why I would like to get some verified 60-130mph vbox runs to put up on this list.. It has awesome potential and will impress all! BimmerBoost

Also has alot to do with driving habits... if you have say... 440 ft tq... and you NLS and launch hard and goto the track everyday, yeah something will happen. But for the daily once maybe twice street run. It should be fine depending on how you drive I suppose, I've had mine tuned for over 50k miles and have yet to have a issue being fully bolted and 23 psi, but then again my clutch starting slipping around 50k~

because this thread is about zzp's testing of efr based turbo's and not the transmission strength?

ok, fair enough, I thought you were nitpicking at the reason behind talking, not the fact that we had gone off topic.... which is why I originally came here anyway.

I too am curious to see what pricing will look like.

Is cause people keep trying to power shift or break boost this tranny, makes no sense on a car with 0 Turbo lag.
