Well have you checked your PM's lately

I'll bet you got more than one...

Matt are you using any of Vinces new fuel stuff or is this still the old stuff. I know you have the port fueler on there. Just trying to gauge where my car may be.

I'm still on one of the older base files from over a year ago. I'm sure we could get some gains or at least tune easier with some of his new offerings.

haha I 'm too lazy to read the other pages right now but as far as I understand, you're having trouble with high duty cycles and poor fuel delivery? When you bolted on the EFR on the LNF did you guys have stock injectors and fuel pump or did I skip too much. lol

They are running a secondary fuel rail on it with stock fuel injectors from an LSJ or equivalent , then they swapped them out to try and get a little more from the Rail and a little less from the direct injectors.

From my understanding.

You can't go past 450 Wheel or so without the secondary fuel rail.

With the new fueling and e85 etc I wouldn't be surprised if they end up eliminating the need for another fuel rail and controller.

That would be optimal but that just means more time before release..

I wouldn't mind the secondary fuel rail if thats what it takes but ideally we would like to run just one..

Nothing like a ball of flames and fuel spraying all over ..... Unlikely but more with that kind of set up.

I wouldn't run a secondary fuel rail on my DD thats just me.

on gas Matt made almost 500whp with the s252 without the second rail. It's just this e85 takes so much more fuel.

question is there any smaller injectors to the ones we have now, that would fit in the FI port?

2 smaller inj (2nd fuel rail) = 1 stock injector
or
1 small+1 medium size (2nd fuel rail) = 1 stock injector

With a meth kit or a rigged up extra injector sprayer I could see the risk you are referring to. In the case of our second fuel rail, it is an oem rail with oem connection and oem injectors. There is no reason to have any increased risk of that sort of thing going wrong.

Curious if that's a new exhaust housing or a cut/weld job with a stock turbo?

I'm not sure what you are asking. We didn't really have trouble with anything. The project surpassed our expectations with ease. the only issue I ran into was only having about 10 minutes to tune in the 60s and make a couple dyno pulls before I had to leave.

On the DI only, we can get close to 500whp on gas at 2900psi.(leaned out on race gas) or around 460 on pump gas running a little richer. With Trifecta's new injector timing tables, that number should be increased even higher. That is more than enough for most people. The problem comes in when people want to switch to E85. The amount of fuel required increases substantially which decreases the max HP potential to around 350. While this is a reasonable power level for the stock turbo, it leads us to another issue. The stock turbo operates in a lower RPM band than turbo swap setups. Because of this, the mechanical fuel pump is not always operating at a high enough speed to keep up with fuel delivery demands. Our secondary fueler solves the low RPM fuel starvation issue as well as the DI injector limitation issue at the same time. We just need to set it up specifically for the injectors that are being used.

I was able to get to 455 with pump 93 and meth... But I didn't feel safe that way so I backed it down before I sold that kit...

My new setup is good to well over 500 but I need to fueling guess it's time to hit up Trifecta and get that part....

ZZP: You guys have a compressor map for this turbo? I would like to see the efficiency range (it looks kinda small to be pushing near 600whp).

so for us who have supporting mods allready piping intake exhaust etc etc, it really just comes down to what couplers are being used on our current parts for the turbo to simply bolt on?

and also, if your running a BOV with MAF relocate, and block off plate, could you block off the BPV on this new turbo and continue to run it with the BOV?

Yes. I am using our silicone couplers that we sell. I am also running the block off tube in the bypass because I already have the TiAL BOV.

Remember that a lot of the power comes from direct injection and E85 as well as being a very efficient turbo.
