450 should be easy with intake, charge tube, intercooler, downpipe, and exhaust. Of course you will need a good tune.

Im not trying to stir trouble. Was just pointing out that BNR and ZZPs EFR shouldnt be compared, and you shouldnt belittle someone elses work.

@Matt: You or Zoomer posted in the BNR thread or some other thread that you guys tried the big wheel upgrade, back when BTF was doing this, and that it wasnt worth it because when you ported it to make the larger wheels fit the walls could become too thin and crack allowing coolant to leak into the turbo. I took that comment to mean that you guys tried it and considered it to be not worth it.

Aaaanyways, keep an eye on the BNR thread, you will see one of the 2871 guys post numbers along those lines.
Like I said, good work ZZP. I hope this turbo is out soon for all the people that are anxiously awaiting it now that you made it public.
Lets see ive been at 360 whp for 40k miles driven hard and tracked all of it, turbo and motor still running like a top!

32k Beaten to **** , not going to exaggerate , sure I drive sensible but most on ramps see full boost etc LOL been tuned full bolt ons for 25k

I've got the feeling she would take 450 WHP all day long with a good tune and the right setup..

Biggest worries are probably the trans for me personally. I heard rumors of Sheppard working on something for us ...

This car can't be driven like a ford ranger ... I know thats what comes to mind while first getting used to it but you just can't

I've ridden with someone that has the same car as me and I was like Just different I guess..

Yes, I should have added clutch. Obviously not to make power, but so it can actually get used.

Stock axles are fine.

The stock trans can live, but as said above, it's an aquired driving style.

thanks for qwik reply.

my thoughts a little more in depth.............................

by the turbo
add it to the car, don't buy anything else unless it s a clutch and we can all understand that.
don't add anything else......

go see an amazing tuner
run a lower boost.........lets say 18 to 21 psi.
Im thinking there has to be a perfect effeciency range for this turbo and I would guess not @ 27 psi.......lol
but the lower boost would be easier on the stock parts like charge tubes for example......

does this sound normal??? like make 400 hp out of it without stress on the car because of the lower boost settings?

Matt - what about the stock valve springs - they should be replaced to ZZP 78#, to support this TC upgrade along with the rest of the ZZP supporting mods (Clutch, 3'' Exhaust, DP, Charge pipes, CAI & IC)?

We did a little over 400 at the wheels a couple years ago with the stock airbox, charge tubes, and intercooler. That was also when we had less ECM access and stock fuel pressure. 400 should be pretty easy with this turbo and minimal mods.

Valvesprings are not required to hit 400. This turbo spools soon enough to keep the shift points lower if you need to. Of course swapping the valvesprings allow you to turn up the boost and/or rev it out further.

Sorry man I meant the center housing. And thats cool, I may have gotten confused as you said.

Just dissregard all my previous comments lol
If this turbo was out now I most probably would have gotten your EFR rather than the BNR I just got, even though it would put me at more HP than I was aiming for

Shoot, I may get bored with this one, sell it, then get the EFR once its out lol

LOL Noooooo I got the 2860....I wanted to run a little more power and have better top end but I really didnt want to mess with the MAF relocate and having to get a BOV. In retrospect, I would have been better off with the 2871. Should have just sucked it up and done it

psh yea.. i have no urge to to do a slight upgrade.. i'm going for either this or 2871 depending on price

unless you're looking to lower that price considerably then maybe i'll take it off your hands lol

lol I dont think like most ppl when it comes to HP. I had a goal in mind and the 2860 fit in with that perfectly. But this EFR would have been perfect for me too since its got everything built in like the K04 does. I had been waiting for the BNR to be avail for some time and when my tax money came in I bought it with a quickness lol
Too bad we didnt know about what ZZP had planned or I would have waited quite honestly.
