Better throttle response, more hp, blah, blah, blah, just figured I'd ask.
We tried out a 2.4 TB last year on a couple different setups. With the stock turbo, we saw no gain. With the S256 turbo, it was worth a few HP, but the car was undriveable since the ECM was not set up for the larger throttle blade. It was way too touchy trying to drive slow. Now that we know a lot more about the ECM, I think we could get it working correctly.

I know you gave dimensions, but I'm not sure what the stock intercooler (with and without condensation bar) is. Does yours hang lower than the stock intercooler core, excluding the condensation bar.

Stock intercooler is 28x6x2.8-3" or a core size of about 500in^3

But the IC could be moved up. Depends on the mount I think.

399

good luck werks trying to beat the price lol

ZZP has a very good sense of what people want and about what price they are willing to pay .

with this IC being a real bargain IMO should have no problems selling in volume to make up for the low MSRP.

Damn thats a good deal the crazy steves is 360 shipped and it sucks, too bad mine cracked months ago...

Crazy Steve's is only $275

I'm actually thinking about selling mine. It fits with no issues. I thought i was going to go with a bigger turbo, but now i am not so i don't really need it.

I was the original test car for crazy steve's.

ZZP has a dang good price on theirs. Glad to see they are putting a lot of testing into theirs.

Price is not final since we have a lot of costs to factor in still. It will be affordable. Yes, pressure tested, of course. I think to 3 bar(44psi), but I will have to double check.
We already have ginormous.

/sigh

Where did you come up with these numbers? They are not even close to what I am measuring.

Here is a pic showing a tape pressed up against the lip and the IC. The IC comes down less than 1/4" below the lip.

Here's a pic of with the tape pressed up against the bumper support. The bottom of the IC is about 8-1/4" below the bumper support.

In the next pic, the tape is hanging on the IC, so you can see that the IC is actually about 8-1/8" tall. You can also tell that the IC could be moved up about 1/8" further.

Here is a pic from the side taken perfectly in line with the bottom of the IC.

FWIW, the race IC I have been running since last summer hung down at least 1/2" more than this IC and here is a pic of how the bottom of it looks today. My car is lowered as well, and I have drove it onto the dyno ramps dozens of times.

I stand corrected.... based on the synapse P.O.S. was an 8" core bolted to stock location hung down 1-1.5"...

I have a 7" tall core now and it hangs down about as much as yours!

If it's gonna be $399, I'm all over it. You'll be getting a call from me in July.
