ZZP Silicone Couplers

Has anyone used these silicone couplers from ZZP
ZZPerformance - LNF Replacement Silicone Couplers #ZZ-LNFSILCP
and how were they ?
Easy to install ?
I trust the 90 degree piece replaces the rubber piece that comes off the turbo ?
How is the "band clamp" that joins the rubber elbow from the turbo to the plastic piping at the top removed ?
I've heard this could be a good improvement because the stock rubber elbow could expand during high boost causing loss of velocity.
Sorry for the basic questions, but I'm new to the turbo world and couldn't find just a coupler replacement thread in the How-To section.
Thanks for any help.

I don't know of any part from ZZP that cannot be trusted. I am sure you will have no problems buying any part from them.

Yep, I just installed their upgraded intake tube yesterday, no problems.
Anyone know if replacing the upper rubber coupling will improve performance ? And how the stock band clamp is removed that joins the rubber coupling to the plastic charge pipe ??

Youre not going to notice anything different. The zzp parts are just higher quality.

They replace the stick couplers, are same as stock except silicon . I got them. Work good. I got the Zfr one, that one is a pain to keep on the turbo, u don't do it just right it pulls out from the tbolt while u tighten and pops off after a few pulls.

Never had a problem with the stock couplers.
If you want an uograde replace the pipes and the couplers. More of a quality improvement mod then a power mod but looks nice under the hood. I wouldn't bother cutting the banding off a shirty plastic pipe to upgrade the couplers which aren't a problem. The pipe is what needs the upgrade.

Agreed with slap, don't upgrade ur couplers unless u have to. I had to that's why I did. If u don't have to spend the money on something else

What should i clean it with? Im thinking just plain water. Also im sure once im getting to installing ill figure out but for now i would like to know what coupler goes connected to what? And last question if i install the intercooler without a tune would it be fine? I know i wont see much of a benefit

When i got tuned the stock couplers kept blowing off the upper charge pipe at the ic. Got the zzp silicone couplers with new t bolt clamps and it's been fine ever since. Highly recommend these.

are the couplers really needed for the intercooler install or can you go without them?

It'll make life a lot easier and will hold better under pressure. Plus you dont need to worry about cutting the stock upper charge pipe couplers.

I would, its definetly worth it. Looks much better too besides the fact that they work 10000x better than the stock couplers.
