but im not sure you broke the trans, but i wasnt there. if you cant depress the clutch the trans is connected to the motor. if the car jerks forward when you try to start it that means its still engages. have you ttried putting the shifter in neutral and starting it? or throwing the front end of stands and seeing if it will start?
Yeah according to the shifter the car is in neutral when it jerks forward. Yeah it sucks i had cooling issue and could have most likely pulled a nice run with the 1.93 60ft.

Yeah after this the car has seen 11k ish in parts in roughly 6months time. It just dont love me right now but hopefully will soon. You should definately not beat on the car if you dont expect to break and should rather be driving it like an old lady.

Appreciate you reading the thread, unfortunately the car has still not made a honest pass due to a few random breaks and issues going down the track.

Car is being taken apart on monday so i will hear what actually broke on it. Since the trans is being pulled off anyways i have decided to get the zzp stage 2 trans for the car even if my trans is still good. Need to see if i can ship it back to zzp for credit. Will also pick up another exedy or a zzp clutch just in case i need it.

Not going to make my appointment here in 6 days for my meth install with Nick so will have to wait a few thousand miles until i feel its broken in.

Will keep everyone posted on whats going on will try and post picks of what broke.

every thing has a breaking point thats why i use drag radials they are more forgiving then slicks

Yup.

Nothing wrong with a radial, but on a FWD, I would much rather have a bias ply tire.

The bias ply tire will absorb more of the shock than any steel radial will. Your axles will see more hurt from a steel radial. If you know what your doing, you can make either work.

There are plenty of people running oem axles with bias ply slicks running faster times than you.

well to a point yes but when you dead hook u stress the whole drive line harder on a slick then a radial especialy if you cant drive

Yeah i would say i made roughly 60 passes last season with the car on street tires. Was easing the car out of the hole and not really truely launching it like i was with slicks. Street tires i was leaving at 2k and the first pass on slicks where i broke i side stepped the clutch instead at 3k and snapped.

When i went back again last time i had some cooling issue/ The zzp stage 3 axles where on along with max boost set to 100. First two launches were at 3k and the last one at 4k. The two launched from 3k netted me almost two identicle 2.0 60ft each time and when i set the 2step to 4k i pulled the 1.93. I would have turned it up to 4.5 and would expect a 1.8 but with cooling issue there was no point. Slicks where not spinning and just dead hooking the car, almost missed the 1st to 2nd shift cause it came up so fast. The slicks and the wotbox would definately make you 60ft more consistant and is going to help me shave time once this thing actually runs right.

Might have a surprise under the hood besides the new trans and possible clutch. Numbers are 1.3 if it gives a clue.

Do you have E85 available in your area? It will really wake up the TVS. Not sure if I would get one without it.
