why waste the money? $200 for zzp springs, pay that euthenasia guy to port the head, save $2000+

silly people, with that other $2k you could've bought a harrop and got tuned

200 for springs and then 360 for supertech?

ok lets run the numbers...

Remeber all the misc costs to like: 700 to remove and re install the head, 180 for a new headgasket and head bolts, 250 for new seat and retainers, then add in valves 300, springs 540 and the port job 1100

let's run the real numbers what i paid for: $300 for extra head, $300 for port job, assembly/reassembly, valve job, new seals and flowed (guy said this would be $500 for other people) $200 for springs, ARP's and cometic ~$200. so you could have a P&P'd head with new springs, HG and ARP's for less than $1000

mine was right at $1k only cause i bought an extra head. and dude euthenasia got a big gain on his own head with stock sized valves than my machinist could get with oversized, and both of them say oversized valves won't really benefit this motor... so why waste the money?

but hey it's cool, cause me putting down the same power gains with $950 worth of work, that you paid $3000 for is funny

hey, did you get my last pm?

04redline @ redline = - forums -com

that's shauns name on there.

also i was doing some thinking... since you have a day before you leave and can prob. back out of the head work and stuff why don't you just save up a little more and go twin charge???

Ecotec twin charged turbo kit - $3,249.99

even if you added every possible option the cost would still only be .... $4,484.99

idk but if i was going to put a bunch of money into the car i'd just go that route. maybe not even get every option but at the end of the day it's ether around 3 grand to a max of 5 grand if you get all the upgrade options and your car would have when you want over 400whp easily and absolute no lag what so ever.

just a thought. if i was going to mod my cobalt more or wanted it to go faster that's what i would do. then again though i always care how much money is into my car and how much power i can put down. that's why i just did nitrous because i know no matter what it's above 300whp with the spray on any dyno.

lemme know whats up ether way but i would really consider that because at the end of the day everyone would be like damn there is that twin charge cobalt. **** it, to me that just sounds cool. lol.

+ this just sounds freakin bad-ass!

megan coilover, rear sway bar of your choice, steering rack spacers. this should run you about $1200. then you can still do head work, hehe.

go with slightly cheaper coilovers, engine and tranny mounts, rack spacers, and progressive meth injection. get best of both worlds. handling and hp. of course retune for meth.

haha I was just makin sure you didn't change your mind again. When we were talking about it before you changed your mind like 6 times lol. I think you made a good choice though. I can't wait to see before/after results on the road and on the dyno.
